''Bad Reputation'' is the twelfth studio album by American musician Kid Rock. It was released digitally on March 21, 2022, and on physical CD on April 6, 2022, by Top Dog Records. The album spawned five singles: " Don't Tell Me How to Live" which features Monster Truck, "Ala-Fuckin-Bama", "We the People", "The Last Dance" and "Rockin'", and three music videos were released. This was the first album since 1996's '' Early Mornin' Stoned Pimp'' to be released by Top Dog Records independently. Background The album was at first announced in late 2019 and was originally scheduled for release in 2021. On January 17, 2021, he held a birthday live stream event and originally announced the name of his album to be ''Kid Motherfuckin' Rock'' and announced a total of 50 songs including 10 hip hop songs, 10 rock songs, 10 country songs and 20 previously unreleased songs. Robert James Ritchie (born January 17, 1971), known professionally as Kid Rock (also known as Bobby Shazam), is an American singer, songwriter and rapper. His style alternates between rock, hip hop, country, and metal. A self-taught musician, he has said that he can play every instrument in his backing band and has overseen production on all but two of his albums. The Bad Reputation Tour is a ongoing concert tour by American rapper and singer Kid Rock in support of his twelfth studio album '' Bad Reputation'' (2022). It began on April 6, 2022, in Evansville, Indiana and is concluding on July 15, 2023 in Detroit. Summary On January 15, 2021, Kid Rock announced his "possible retirement". Stephen Thomas Erlewine (; born June 18, 1973) is an American music critic and senior editor for the online music database AllMusic. He is the author of many artist biographies and record reviews for AllMusic, as well as a freelance writer, occasionally contributing liner notes. Erlewine was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and is a nephew of the former musician and AllMusic founder Michael Erlewine. The Independent Albums chart (previously titled Top Independent Albums) ranks the highest-selling independent music albums and extended plays (EPs) in the United States, as compiled by Nielsen SoundScan and published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine. ''Cocky'' is the fifth studio album by American musician Kid Rock. Released in 2001, it is his third release for Atlantic Records. The album is known for featuring the ballad "Picture", recorded as a duet with Sheryl Crow. In May 2011, the album was certified 5× platinum by the RIAA and has sold 5,344,000 copies in the US as of December 2013. According to Kid Rock's official website that made a timeline for his 45th birthday in January 2016, ''Cocky'' was certified 6× platinum on August 26, 2008. However, RIAA only certified the album at 5× platinum.
