Back With A Bong!
''Back with a Bong!'' is the second album from New York hardcore punk band Murphy's Law. It was released in 1989 on Profile Records and subsequently re-released on Another Planet Records in 1994 with the previous self-titled album on the same disc. It came three years after the previous album and the band had undergone somewhat of a transformation with Jimmy Gestapo the only remaining member. Alex Morris had been replaced on guitar by Todd Youth – previously of fellow New York hardcore bands, Agnostic Front and Warzone, and later of Danzig. Chuck Valle replaced Pete Martinez on bass, and Doug E. Beans took over drumming duties from Petey Hines. They followed this album with 1991's ''Best of Times'', 1993's ''Good For Now'', and 1996's '' Dedicated'' – so called because Chuck Valle was killed in 1994. Warzone (band)
Warzone (formerly known as Rat Poison) was an American hardcore punk band formed on the Lower East Side of Manhattan in 1983. The band helped develop the New York hardcore sound, the hardcore skinhead style and the youth crew subgenre. During the band's 14 years and many line-up changes, their primarily hardcore sound was flavored by influences ranging from Oi! (they toured several times with The Business and played a cover of their song "The Real Enemy") to traditional punk rock to heavy metal (on their self-titled LP). Their fan base was diverse, with their concerts usually attended by skinheads, straight edge teens, metalheads, and punks of all ages. Masterdisk is an American multimedia company in New York, located at 8 John Walsh Boulevard in Peekskill. They provide production services such as audio mastering, vinyl cutting and enhanced CD and DVD production. Their clients include such notable acts as Accept, Sting, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Spoon, Nirvana, Lou Reed, David Bowie, U2, Gorillaz, John Zorn, DMX, The Rolling Stones, Steely Dan, Bob Dylan, Metallica, Aerosmith and the Beatles. Howie Weinberg
Howie Weinberg is an American audio mastering engineer. Over the course of his career, he has received over 2,257 mastering credits, three TEC Awards, 21 Grammy Awards, two Juno Awards, and one Mercury Prize. Career Weinberg mastered Herbie Hancock's 1983 album ''Future Shock''. Other mastering works include the Beastie Boys' '' Licensed to Ill'' and Nirvana's ''Nevermind''. Weinberg began working in the mail room at Masterdisk in 1977, delivering recording tapes in New York City. Mastering engineer Bob Ludwig acted as his mentor. In January 2011, he left Masterdisk to set up his own mastering company in Los Angeles, Howie Weinberg Mastering, which appeared in ''Voyage LA''s "Most Inspiring Stories" on February 11, 2021. Angelo Christopher Moore (born November 5, 1965) is an American musician, best known for his work as lead singer and saxophonist for the Los Angeles ska and funk metal band Fishbone. Dedicated (Murphy's Law Album)
''Dedicated'' is a full-length album by the New York City hardcore punk band, Murphy's Law. It was released by Another Planet in 1996. The album is dedicated to the former bass guitar player Chuck Valle, who was killed in 1994. His picture appears on the back page of the CD inlay and a picture of a tattoo inscribed with the words "In Memory of Chuck" appears on the jewel case inlay. Production The album was produced by Daniel Rey. He also wrote "Green Bud". The personnel differed from previous recordings, but Jimmy G Drescher's vocals still provided the sound's basis. Danzig (band)
Danzig is an American heavy metal band led by former Misfits and Samhain frontman Glenn Danzig. Formed in 1987 in Lodi, New Jersey out of the latter band, its "classic" lineup included the eponymous vocalist and keyboardist (real name Glenn Anzalone), guitarist John Christ (real name John Knoll), bassist Eerie Von (real name Eric Stellmann) and drummer Chuck Biscuits (real name Charles Montgomery).
