''Baby I'm Bored'' is an album by Evan Dando that was released on February 25, 2003. It was his first solo studio album as well as his first LP of new songs since the release of the Lemonheads' '' Car Button Cloth'' in 1996. Elizabeth Moses, who married Dando in 2000, appears on the album's cover. ''Baby I'm Bored'' was reissued by Fire Records in June 2017, on CD and LP, with a bonus disc of rarities; the vinyl version received a special release for Record Store Day 2017. Chart performance ''Baby I'm Bored'' peaked at #30 on the UK albums chart and #27 on the US Top Independent Albums chart. It produced the singles "Stop My Head" (UK #38) and "It Looks Like You" (UK #68). Evan Dando
Evan Griffith Dando (born March 4, 1967) is an American musician and frontman of the Lemonheads. He has also embarked on a solo career and collaborated on songs with various artists. In December 2015 Dando was inducted into the Boston Music Awards Hall of Fame. Biography Early life and education Dando was born in Essex, Massachusetts, on Boston's North Shore, to Susan, a former fashion model, and Jeffrey, who worked as a real estate attorney. At the age of nine, his family moved from Essex to Boston; his parents divorced two years later. In his teens Dando attended Commonwealth School in Boston. In the fall of 1986 he enrolled at Skidmore College but dropped out after getting "four Fs and a D." The Lemonheads
The Lemonheads are an American alternative rock band formed in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1986 by Evan Dando, Ben Deily, and Jesse Peretz. Dando has remained the band's only constant member. After their initial punk-influenced releases and tours as an independent/college rock band in the late 1980s, the Lemonheads' popularity with a mass audience grew in 1992 with the major label album ''It's a Shame about Ray'', which was produced, engineered, and mixed by The Robb Brothers (Bruce Robb, Dee, and Joe). This was followed by a cover of Simon and Garfunkel's "Mrs. Robinson", which eventually became one of the band's most successful singles. The Lemonheads were active until 1997 before going on hiatus, but reformed with a new lineup in 2005 and released ''The Lemonheads'' the following year. Royston William Langdon (born 1 May 1972) is an English musician who is the lead singer and bassist of the English-American glam rock band Spacehog. Early life Langdon was born on 1 May 1972 in Leeds. Chris Brokaw (born August 1, 1964) is an American musician, best known for his work with the bands Come and Codeine. Life and career While studying at Oberlin College, Brokaw met many people who became figures on the American indie rock scene of the 1990s, among them Stephen Immerwahr, with whom Brokaw formed Codeine, as well as Sooyoung Park of Bitch Magnet and Seam, John McEntire of Tortoise, and Liz Phair. Soon after graduating from Oberlin, Brokaw played drums for a number of bands, including 7 Or 8 Worm Hearts and G.G. Allin. Car Button Cloth
''Car Button Cloth'' is the seventh studio album by the Lemonheads, and the last under their contract with Atlantic Records. The band, as it were, consisted mostly of Dando himself playing many instruments, including his usual guitars and lead vocals, and Patrick Murphy on drums, along with a series of session musicians and producer Bryce Goggin filling in on other instruments. Following the recording of the album, Bill Gibson, who had played bass on several tracks, joined the band for the supporting tour along with Dando and Murphy. Despite receiving lukewarm reviews and not being as commercially successful as the Lemonheads' previous two albums, ''It's a Shame About Ray'' and ''Come On Feel the Lemonheads'', ''Car Button Cloth'' has gained a minor cult following in recent years.
