Bak Kut Teh
''Bak kut teh'' (also spelt bah kut teh and abbreviated BKT; , Teochew Pe̍h-uē-jī: ''nêg8-gug4-dê5'') is a pork rib dish cooked in broth popularly served in Malaysia and Singapore where there is a predominant Hoklo and Teochew community. The name literally translates from the Hokkien dialect as "meat bone tea", and at its simplest, consists of pork ribs simmered in a broth of herbs and spices (including star anise, cinnamon, cloves, ''dong quai'', fennel seeds and garlic) for hours. Despite its name, there is in fact no tea in the dish itself; the name refers to a strong oolong Chinese tea which is usually served alongside the soup in the belief that it dilutes or dissolves the copious amount of fat consumed in this pork-laden dish. However, additional ingredients may include offal, varieties of mushroom, choy sum, and pieces of dried tofu or fried tofu puffs. Additional Chinese herbs may include ''yu zhu'' (玉竹, rhizome of Solomon's seal) and ''ju zhi'' (buck ...

History Balkrishna Industries began operations in the year 1987 with the inauguration of its first off-highway tyre manufacturing facility in Aurangabad. Subsequent growth in business allowed the company to open new facilities in Bhiwadi (2002) and Chopanaki (2006). It also diversified its product line by introducing tyres for ATV, earthmoving and gardening vehicles. Operations Balkrishna Industries is currently an OEM vendor for heavy equipment manufacturers like JCB, John Deere, and CNH Industrial. In 2014, BKT held a 8% market share of the global off-the-road tyre segment. Balkrishna Ind ...

Banka Kombëtare Tregtare
Banka Kombëtare Tregtare (BKT) is the largest and oldest operating commercial bank in Albania. History Early establishments The first branch of Banka Kombëtare Tregtare was established in Durrës on 29 November 1925, in the historical building where today's BKT Durrës Branch is situated. This building actually represents the oldest Albanian financial institution in the country. 1 November 1926 and 15 November 1926 are the dates in which BKT's Shkodra and Vlora Branches were established respectively. Banka Kombëtare Tregtare (BKT), with today's name, was established in January 1993, after the merging of the Banka Tregtare Shqiptare (BTSH) and Banka Kombëtare e Shqipërisë (BKSH). Actually BKT is the largest and the oldest commercial bank in Albania. BTSH was established in 1991 due to the sub-division of the activities of the State Bank of Albania, the main activity of which was managing the foreign trade operations of the state-owned entities with former socialist coun ...

Bayesian Knowledge Tracing
Bayesian knowledge tracing is an algorithm used in many intelligent tutoring systems to model each learner's mastery of the knowledge being tutored. It models student knowledge in a hidden Markov model as a latent variable, updated by observing the correctness of each student's interaction in which they apply the skill in question. BKT assumes that student knowledge is represented as a set of binary variables, one per skill, where the skill is either mastered by the student or not. Observations in BKT are also binary: a student gets a problem/step either right or wrong. Intelligent tutoring systems often use BKT for mastery learning and problem sequencing. In its most common implementation, BKT has only skill-specific parameters. Method There are four model parameters used in BKT: * p(L_0) or p\text, the probability of the student knowing the skill beforehand. * p(T) or p\text, the probability of the student demonstrating knowledge of the skill after an opportunity to apply it * ...

Berezinskii–Kosterlitz–Thouless Transition
The Berezinskii–Kosterlitz–Thouless (BKT) transition is a phase transition of the two-dimensional (2-D) XY model in statistical physics. It is a transition from bound vortex-antivortex pairs at low temperatures to unpaired vortices and anti-vortices at some critical temperature. The transition is named for condensed matter physicists Vadim Berezinskii, John M. Kosterlitz and David J. Thouless. BKT transitions can be found in several 2-D systems in condensed matter physics that are approximated by the XY model, including Josephson junction arrays and thin disordered superconducting granular films. More recently, the term has been applied by the 2-D superconductor insulator transition community to the pinning of Cooper pairs in the insulating regime, due to similarities with the original vortex BKT transition. The critical density of the BKT transition in the weakly interacting system reads : n_c = \frac \ln \frac where the dimensionless constant was found to be \xi = 380 \ ...

Blake Street Railway Station
Blake Street railway station serves the Hill Hook area of Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, England. It is situated on the Cross-City Line, located on the county boundary between the West Midlands and Staffordshire. The station is managed by West Midlands Trains, who operate all trains serving it. History The station opened in 1884, when the London and North Western Railway extended their Birmingham to Sutton Coldfield line northward to Lichfield. In May 1978, Blake Street became one of the stations on the Cross-City Line, launched by the West Midlands PTE to link the Lichfield branch with the infrequently served suburban line to and Redditch. The northern end was subsequently extended to Lichfield Trent Valley in 1988 and electrified on the 25 kV AC system in 1992. The signalling at the station is set up so that trains can terminate or start from here, but the facility is only rarely used in the current (May 2018) timetable (just one each way Monday-Saturday). Facilities The ...
