BFF Elite Football Academy
BFF Elite Football Academy is a Bangladeshi youth development football academy based on Dhaka, Bangladesh. Established in 2021, it is operated by the Bangladesh Football Federation, with the goal of developing young players for the future and nurturing young Bangladeshi talents. The academy team participates in Bangladesh Championship League, country’s second tier football league. However, they will not be subject to promotion or relegation regardless of their position in the points table of the league. History The academy started with 51 under-15 footballers in September, 2021. The players were selected through nationwide trial. The current age level of the academy is under-18. Mohammad Ataur Rahman Bhuiyan (Manik)
Mohammad Ataur Rahman Bhuiyan (Manik) is a Bangladeshi businessman, sports organizer, and politician. He is the chairman of Toma Group, a major Bangladeshi conglomerate. He is the Vice-President of Bangladesh Football Federation, the associate of FIFA in Bangladesh. Career Bhuiyan established Toma Group in 1996 with the start of Toma Construction & Co. Limited. Mirajul Islam ( bn, মিরাজুল ইসলাম; born 1 October 2006) is a Bangladeshi professional footballer who plays as a striker for Bangladesh Premier League club Brothers Union, on loan from BFF Elite Academy. Early life Mirajul Islam Miraj was born on 1 October 2006, in Jhalokati District of the Barisal Division, the son of Henara Begum and Khalilur Rahman. His father, worked at a restaurant before retiring due to sickness. His parents were initially against the idea of him pursuing football, and often prevented Miraj from playing by tying him to beds in their house. Khandaker Rakibul Islam ( bn, খন্দকার রকিবুল ইসলাম; born 1 January 1956), better known as Rakib, is a retired Bangladeshi footballer who played as a left-back. Club career In 1973, Rakib debuted for Mohammedan SC in the Dhaka League, later winning the league in 1975 and 1976. In 1977, he became captain during the Aga Khan Gold Cup at age 22. Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited Dhaka, founded in 1936 at Dhaka, is one of the oldest and one of the most popular football clubs in Bangladesh, with a support base in all parts of the country. The 2021–22 Bangladesh Championship League was the 10th season of the Bangladesh Championship League since its establishment in 2012. A total of 12 football clubs are competing in the league.
