BC Triple Threat
BC Triple Threat is a Dutch basketball club based in Haarlem. Its women's team plays in the Women's Basketball League, the premier level of basketball in the Netherlands. The team was founded in 2009 to offer a platform for the youth in the Schalkwijk neighbourhood. Founder Okrah Donor aimed to make the borough safer and improve its image. Four years later, in 2013, the local basketball team HOC was declared bankrupt, which paved the way for Triple Threat to start teaching basketball. In May 2020, the club announced its first women team would enter the WBL. Women's Basketball League (Netherlands)
The Women's Basketball League (WBL) is the highest level of women's basketball in the Netherlands. The first season was played in 1949. Blue Stars Diemen, Blue Stars is the record titleholder of the league with 20 championships. As of 2021, the league consists of nine teams. History From its establishment, the league was known as "Eredivisie". In 2019, the league name was changed from Vrouwen Basketball League (VBL) to Women's Basketball League (WBL). The 2019–20 season was cancelled prematurely because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the first time the competition was not played out. No champion was named. 2021–22 clubs The league currently consists of 9 teams. Naomi Halman
Naomi Halman (born 10 January 1986) is a Dutch basketball player who plays for Triple Threat of the Women's Basketball League (WBL). During her career, she also played for the Netherlands national team, playing in 44 international games.
