''BAO på turné'' is the first live album by Benny Anderssons Orkester, released in spring 2006. Album information After two studio albums, Benny Anderssons Orkester, current group of former ABBA member Benny Andersson, released its first live album in May 2006. Recording for the album took place during the group's summer tour the previous year in the towns of Örebro and Leksand. As Benny Anderssons Orkester did not tour in 2006, this live album was seen as a kind of compensation for the otherwise missing concert experience. Ever since the start of the group in 2001, Benny Anderssons Orkester were famous for their mini-tours of Sweden each summer. Though only including about ten dates each year, these tours and the group itself are considered an important part of the Swedish summer. "You Are My Man" is a song performed by Benny Anderssons orkester and Helen Sjöholm on the 2009 album ''Story of a Heart''. The song is an English version of the Swedish song "Du är min man", also performed by Benny Anderssons Orkester and Helen Sjöholm but on the 2004 album ''BAO!''. The music was composed by Benny Andersson and both the Swedish and the English versions are written by Björn Ulvaeus. In 2005 the song won Guldklaven for Song of the Year ("Årets låt"). Svensktoppen "Du är min man" entered the Swedish Svensktoppen on 11 July 2004 and stayed in the top 10 until it failed to chart on 8 November 2009, totaling 278 weeks on the chart. The song topped the chart for the 38 first weeks and was on top for a total of 60 weeks during its entire run. Giovanni Capurro
Giovanni Capurro (February 5, 1859 – January 18, 1920) was an Italian poet, best remembered today as the co-creator, with singer/composer Eduardo Di Capua, of the world famous song, "'O Sole mio". Capurro was born in Naples. He made his living as a poet and playwright. He is considered to be among the finest nineteenth-century Italian poets. The actor Viviani gave his first performance in an established theatre, the Teatro Perella in Basso Porto, in ''The Street Urchin'', a sketch by Capurro. In 1898, Giovanni Capurro wrote the words to'' 'O Sole mio'' and asked Eduardo Di Capua (who at the time was in Odessa with his orchestra-violinist father) to set it to music. The song was later presented at Piedigrotta 1898, organized by the ''Round Table'' promoted by the publisher Bideri, and came in second place after a piece called ''Napule Bello!''. Eduardo Di Capua
Eduardo Di Capua (May 12, 1865 – October 3, 1917) was a Naples, Neapolitan composer, singer and songwriter. Biography He was born in Naples in 1865. He is best known for the song "'O sole mio, 'O Sole mio". In 1897, di Capua bought a collection of 23 melodies from an obscure composer, Alfredo Mazzucchi. Di Capua developed the piece, and then invited the poet Giovanni Capurro to write lyrics for it. The resulting song has been recorded by many singers, both classical and popular, in both the original Neapolitan and the English adaptation. Johnny Mercer
John Herndon Mercer (November 18, 1909 – June 25, 1976) was an American lyricist, songwriter, and singer, as well as a record label executive who co-founded Capitol Records with music industry businessmen Buddy DeSylva and Glenn E. Wallichs. He is best known as a Tin Pan Alley lyricist, but he also composed music, and was a popular singer who recorded his own songs as well as songs written by others from the mid-1930s through the mid-1950s. Mercer's songs were among the most successful hits of the time, including " Moon River", " Days of Wine and Roses", " Autumn Leaves", and "Hooray for Hollywood". He wrote the lyrics to more than 1,500 songs, including compositions for movies and Broadway shows. He received nineteen Oscar nominations, and won four Best Original Song Oscars. Michael Carr (born Maurice Alfred Cohen; 11 March 1905 – 16 September 1968) was a British popular music composer and lyricist, best remembered for the song " South of the Border (Down Mexico Way)", written with Jimmy Kennedy for the 1939 film of the same name. Tommy Körberg
Bert Gustav Tommy Körberg (; born 4 July 1948) is a Swedish singer, actor, and musician. English-speaking audiences know him best for his role as Anatoly/"The Russian" in the musical ''Chess''. He played the role on the 1984 concept album, and on stage in the 1986 world première West End production in London, as well as several times since.
