B. W. Stevenson
Louis Charles "B.W." Stevenson (October 5, 1949 – April 28, 1988) was an American country pop singer and musician, working in a genre now called progressive country. "B.W." stood for "Buckwheat". Stevenson was born in Dallas, Texas, United States, and attended W.H. Adamson High School with other musicians Michael Martin Murphey, Ray Wylie Hubbard, and Larry Groce. Stevenson performed and was taped for the intended pilot of ''Austin City Limits'' on October 13, 1974. However, the recording quality was deemed too poor to broadcast. Willie Nelson's performance taped the following night was aired as the first episode of the program. "My Maria" Stevenson's biggest hit was " My Maria", co-written with Daniel Moore. "My Maria" reached No. 9 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 for the week ending September 29, 1973, and was covered later by Brooks & Dunn, for whom it was a three-week No. 1 country hit in mid-1996. Oak Cliff
Oak Cliff is a neighborhood of Dallas, Texas, that was formerly a separate town in Dallas County; Dallas annexed Oak Cliff in 1901. It has since retained a distinct neighborhood identity as one of Dallas' older established neighborhoods. Oak Cliff has turn-of-the-20th century and mid-20th century housing, many parks, and is near the central business district of downtown Dallas. The boundaries of Oak Cliff are roughly Interstate 30 on the north, Loop 12 on the west, Interstate 35 on the east, the Trinity River on the northeast and Interstate 20 on the south. Daniel Moore (Musician)
Daniel Moore (born 1941 in Walla Walla, Washington, U.S.) is an American musician, singer and songwriter. He co-wrote the song "My Maria" with B. W. Stevenson. Recorded by the latter, the song was a pop hit in 1973. Moore also wrote the song " Shambala", a song which was a hit for both B. W. Stevenson and Three Dog Night that same year. "My Maria" was also a country hit in 1996 when recorded by Brooks and Dunn. In addition, Moore has written songs for other artists, including Joe Cocker and Bonnie Raitt. In late 1975, he contributed backing vocals for the tracks on Bo Diddley's ''The 20th Anniversary of Rock 'n' Roll'' all-star album. Moore currently runs his own record label, DJM Records. A staphylococcal infection or staph infection is an infection caused by members of the ''Staphylococcus'' genus of bacteria. These bacteria commonly inhabit the skin and nose where they are innocuous, but may enter the body through cuts or abrasions which may be nearly invisible. A heart valve is a one-way valve that allows blood to flow in one direction through the chambers of the heart. Four valves are usually present in a mammalian heart and together they determine the pathway of blood flow through the heart. A heart valve opens or closes according to differential blood pressure on each side.
