B. Reeves Eason Jr.
Barnes Reeves Eason (November 19, 1914 – October 25, 1921), better known by his screen name B. Reeves Eason Jr. was an American silent film child actor. Billed as "Master Breezy Reeves Jr." and "Universal's Littlest Cowboy", and later also known as Breezy Eason Jr., he was the son of motion picture director and actor B. Reeves Eason and his wife, the actress Jimsy Maye. Death Eason was killed after being hit by a truck outside of his parents' house after running into the street chasing after a ball shortly after the filming of the Harry Carey silent western '' The Fox'' (1921) had been completed. He was interred at Hollywood Forever Cemetery and was one of the first actors to be buried there. ''Sure Fire'' is a 1921 American silent Western film directed by John Ford and featuring Hoot Gibson. It is considered to be a lost film. Plot As described in a film magazine, easy going rancher Jeff Bransford (Gibson) returns to his ancestral acres and finds them heavily mortgaged and about to be foreclosed and the hired men defended them with guns. He tries to borrow money to satisfy the mortgage but is unsuccessful. That night a robbery is committed on a neighboring farm with five thousand dollars stolen from Major Parker (MacQuarrie), and suspicion is thrown upon Jeff. After much hard riding and several stiff fights, the real culprits are apprehended and Jeff is vindicated. Parker had intended to loan Jeff some money to help with his difficulties. John Leslie Coogan (October 26, 1914 – March 1, 1984) was an American actor and comedian who began his film career as a child actor in silent films. Charlie Chaplin's film classic ''The Kid'' (1921) made him one of the first child stars in the history of Hollywood. He later sued his mother and stepfather over his squandered film earnings and provoked California to enact the first known legal protection for the earnings of child performers, the California Child Actors Bill, widely known as the Coogan Act. Coogan continued to act throughout his life, later earning renewed fame in middle age portraying Uncle Fester in the 1960s television series ''The Addams Family''. Robert Joseph Connelly (April 4, 1909 – July 5, 1922) was an American child actor of silent films. He is one of the first male child stars of American motion pictures beginning his career in 1913 at the age of four. Career Connelly's parents were vaudeville performers and young Connelly began in films with the Kalem company. His sister Helen also had a career as a child actress. In 1914 Connelly switched to Vitagraph Studios, which were based primarily in New York and New Jersey, close to where Connelly and his family lived. He appeared in films with major players of the day and in 1914–15 portrayed "Sonny Jim" in a series of shorts about the adventures of a young boy. In 1917, he got his own series of films with his name in the title to emphasize his star billing.
