B. J. Elder
Barry Jaquawn "B. J." Elder (born September 4, 1982) is an American former professional basketball player. After playing at Morgan County High School in his native Madison, Georgia, Elder played four years of college basketball with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, and reached the Final Four in the 2004 NCAA tournament, losing to the UConn Huskies in the championship game. After his senior year at Georgia Tech, Elder went undrafted in the 2005 NBA draft, and appeared in the 2005 NBA Summer League with the San Antonio Spurs before joining German team Gießen 46ers in the Basketball Bundesliga, starting his professional career. He was a D-League All-Star in 2007 with the Austin Toros and has played in Germany, Greece, and Italy. The Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) (English language: ''Federal Basketball League''), for sponsorship reasons named easyCredit BBL, is the highest level league of professional club basketball in Germany. The league comprises 18 teams. A BBL season is split into a league stage and a playoff stage. At the end of the league stage, the top eight teams qualify for the playoff stage, and the teams positioned in the 17th and 18th places are relegated to a lower-tier league. The playoffs are played in a "Best of five" format. The winning team of the final round are crowned the German Champions of that season. The NBA Summer League, also known as the Las Vegas Summer League, is an off-season competition organized by the National Basketball Association. UConn Huskies Men's Basketball
The UConn Huskies men's basketball program is the intercollegiate men's basketball team of the University of Connecticut, in Storrs, Connecticut.
