Bernard Greene (September 28, 1965 – January 21, 2023), also known as B.G. the Prince of Rap, was an American rapper and Eurodance artist. He experienced modest success in Germany, where he lived after being posted by the U.S. Army. Early life Greene was born in Washington, D.C., United States. He joined the United States Army after graduating from high school and was posted to Germany in 1985. Musical career His biggest Hit record, hit came in 1991, when he reached number one on the United States, US Hot Dance Club Songs, Hot Dance Music/Club Play record chart, chart with "This Beat Is Hot". Sverigetopplistan (, lit. "the Sweden top list") is the Swedish national record chart, formerly known as Topplistan (1975–1997) and Hitlistan (1998–2007) and known by its current name since October 2007, based on sales data from the Swedish Recording Industry Association (in Swedish Grammofonleverantörernas förening). Before Topplistan, music sales in Sweden were recorded by Kvällstoppen, whose weekly chart was a combined albums and singles list. The Official New Zealand Music Chart ( mi, Te Papa Tātai Waiata Matua o Aotearoa) is the weekly New Zealand top 40 singles and albums charts, issued weekly by Recorded Music NZ (formerly Recording Industry Association of New Zealand). The Music Chart also includes the top-20 New Zealand artist singles and albums and top 10 compilation albums. The Dutch Top 40 ( nl, Nederlandse Top 40) is a weekly music chart compiled by ''Stichting Nederlandse Top 40''. It started as a radio program titled "Veronica Top 40", on the offshore station Radio Veronica in 1965. It remained "The Veronica Top 40" until 1974, when the station was forced to stop broadcasting. Joost den Draaijer initiated the Top 40 in the Netherlands. The show currently airs on Fridays from 2 to 6 PM on Qmusic.
