Jonathan Lee (musician)
Jonathan Lee Chung-shan ( zh, t=李宗盛, p=Lǐ Zōngshèng; born 19 July 1958) is a Taiwanese musician and producer. He is regarded as one of the most influential and respected figures in the world of Mandopop music. Life and career Lee started in the music industry in the 1970s, during Taiwan's popular " campus folk song" era. He was a member of the "Wood Guitar" band. In 1983, Lee made his debut as a music producer for the album ''Light Rain Just Comes in Time'' by Zheng Yi, which became an instant hit. The self-titled single "Light Rain Just Comes in Time" ranked No. 1 for 13 consecutive weeks on Taiwan's main music chart; while the first single written, composed, and sang by Lee entitled "End", a duet in the album, also became a huge hit. In 1984, Lee joined Rock Records, and has been credited with catapulting Rock Records into one of the foremost independent music labels in Asia. Ding Dang (; born Wu Xian on 17 April 1982), also known as Della, is a Taiwan-based Chinese singer who is known for her wide vocal range and emotive soundtracks for numerous television series. Early life and education Ding Dang was born on 17 April 1982 in Zhejiang. Growing up, her parents divorced. She graduated from the Fourth High School in Jiashan County in 1998. Career 1999–2005: Early career – bar singing and Rock Records In 1999, Ding Dang decided pursue her childhood interest in music, and left for neighbouring cities despite concerns from her parents. Ann (; born 27 September 1991) is a Taiwanese singer-songwriter. She released her debut album, ''Catcher in the Rye'', in 2012. She has been publishing her songs on the internet since 2008 and was later discovered and signed by B'in Music, a major record label in Taiwan. Her family is from Manchuria. Tarcy Su (; born 27 October 1970) is a Taiwanese singer and actress who was most popular in the 1990s during her recording career with Rock Records. She has released three albums since 2002. Cosmos People (Chinese: 宇宙人; stylized as COSMOS PEOPLE) is a Taiwanese band formed in 2004. The members are all graduates of Taipei Municipal Jianguo High School. Their music often uses elements of funk and dance-pop. Formation Name origin After high school graduation in 2004, they decided that they needed a band name. They wanted a catchy name. Inspiration came from baseball player Ichiro Suzuki, who was described by the media as "from a different planet" due to his exceptional skills. When they heard this, they wished that they have to same drive and ambition.
