Aziz Ahmed (general)
Aziz Ahmed (born 1 January 1961) is a former four Star General of Bangladesh army who was Chief of Army Staff (CAS) of the Bangladesh Army, in office from 25 June 2018 to 24 June 2021. He was succeeded by General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed on 24 June 2021. Early life and education Ahmed was born on 1 January 1961 in Narayangonj. His ancestral home is in the village of Tarki in Sultanabad Union, Matlab Uttar Upazila, Chandpur District. His father Abdul Wadud worked as an NCO in the air force and his mother's name is Renuja Begum. He completed his SSC from Mohammadpur Government High School in 1977, went to Notre Dame College, Dhaka and completed HSC there; he also joined the engineering course in Textile Technology from College of Textile Technology (which is presently known as Bangladesh University of Textiles) in 1980. General ( bn, জেনারেল, Jēnārēla) is a four Star commissioned flag officer rank in the Bangladesh Army. It is the highest achieved rank in the Bangladesh Army. General ranks above the Three Star rank of Lieutenant general. The rank is denoted as a full-fledged General to extricate subordinate officers like Lieutenant general and Major general. The rank was established in 2007 when Moeen U Ahmed was promoted to this rank. The Chief of Army Staff (CAS) of Bangladesh only gets awarded with this rank. United Nations Mission In Sudan
The United Nations Mission in the Sudan (UNMIS) was established by the UN Security Council under Resolution 1590 of 24 March 2005, in response to the signing of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement between the government of the Sudan and the Sudan People's Liberation Movement on January 9, 2005 in Sudan. UNMIS tasks are to support the implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement, to perform certain functions relating to humanitarian assistance, protection, promotion of human rights, and to support African Union Mission in Sudan. The mandate of UNMIS ended on 9 July 2011; the UNSC officially ended the mission on 11 July 2011, with a drawdown by 31 August 2011. Equipment and personnel will be transferred to UNISFA and UNMISS. The Air Defense Artillery Branch is the branch of the United States Army that specializes in anti-aircraft weapons (such as Surface-to-air missile, surface to air missiles). In the U.S. Army, these groups are composed of mainly air defense systems such as the MIM-104 Patriot, Patriot Missile System, THAAD, Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD), and the M1097 Avenger, Avenger Air Defense system which fires the FIM-92 Stinger missile. Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) are a paramilitary force responsible for the border security of Bangladesh. The force is known as "The Vigilant Sentinels of the National Frontier".
