Yusif Museibovich Kerimov ( az, Yusif Museib oglu Kərimov, russian: Юсиф Мусеибович Керимов; 25 October 1926, Lankaran – 29 November 1997, Baku) was an Azerbaijani-Soviet electrical engineer and a renowned inventor, one of the founders of the Azerbaijani Hydro-Electrical industry. Cogeneration or combined heat and power (CHP) is the use of a heat engine or power station to generate electricity and useful heat at the same time. Cogeneration is a more efficient use of fuel or heat, because otherwise- wasted heat from electricity generation is put to some productive use. Azerbaijan Thermal Power Plant is an oil-fired power plant consisting of 8 units, each with 300 MW generation capacity at Mingachevir, Azerbaijan. Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO) is a category of fuel oils of a tar-like consistency. Also known as bunker fuel, or residual fuel oil, HFO is the result or remnant from the distillation and cracking process of petroleum.
