The Muslim Magomayev Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic Hall ( az, Müslüm Maqomayev adına Azərbaycan Dövlət Akademik Filarmoniyası), located in Baku, is the main concert hall in Azerbaijan built in 1910. The Azerbaijan State Orchestra of Folk Instruments ( az, Azərbaycan Dövlət Xalq çalğı alətləri orkestri) is the first notable orchestra of folk instruments in Azerbaijan, affiliated with the Azerbaijan State Philharmonic Society. It was created in 1931, on the initiative of Uzeyir Hajibeyov, founder of professional Azerbaijani music, according to principles of the Symphony Orchestra. Azerbaijan State Chamber Orchestra named after Gara Garayev () is a chamber orchestra based in Baku, Azerbaijan. It was founded by Fikrat Amirov and Gara Garayev in 1964. The orchestra generally performs works of Azerbaijani composers and premiered works by Western European and Russian composers. Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra
The Hajibeyov Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra (Azeri: ''Hacıbəyov adına Azərbaycan Dövlət Simfonik Orkestri'') was formed in 1920 being one of the first orchestras in the Soviet Union, at the request of composer Uzeyir Hajibeyov after whom it was later named. It is affiliated with the Azerbaijan State Philharmonic Society. Composers such as Rhené-Baton and Otto Klemperer were invited from abroad to assist in establishing and training the orchestra body. From 1938 to 1984, Hajibeyov's nephew Niyazi was conducting the orchestra. After his death, the conducting has been performed by People's Artist of Azerbaijan, Professor Rauf Abdullayev.
