Azerbaijan Football Academy ( az, Azərbaycan Futbol Akademiyası) is the youth academy of Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan. It provides a stepping stone for youngsters to progress to the highest levels of football at Azerbaijan. The Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA; az, Azərbaycan Futbol Federasiyaları Assosiasiyası, AFFA) is the governing body of football in Azerbaijan. Formed in 1992, it is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the amateur and professional game in its territory. AFFA sanctions all competitive football matches within its remit at national level, and indirectly at local level through the AFFA Amateur League. Şenes Erzik (born 18 September 1942, in Giresun, Turkey) is a retired football administrator. During his career he served as first vice-president of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). He was also a member of the FIFA Council. Biography He was educated at Robert College in Istanbul, where he finished high school section and then the college's School of Business Administration and Economics in 1965. He worked in a diverse range of careers for a number of years in fields like banking for the Sınai Yatırım ve Kredi Bank, as a project manager for FAO/UNICEF and is still involved as an executive board member of the Cankurtaran Holding Inc in Turkey. Fernando Ruiz Hierro (; born 23 March 1968) is a Spanish football manager and former player who played as a centre-back, sweeper or defensive midfielder. He is the current sporting director of Liga MX club C.D. Guadalajara.
