Azem Shkreli
Azem Shkreli (; sh, Азем Шкрељи, Azem Škrelji; 10 February 1938 – 27 May 1997) was a Yugoslavian writer, poet, director and producer of Albanian ethnicity. He was head of the Kosovo Writers' Association, president of the Association of Writers of Yugoslavia, manager of the National Theatre of Kosovo (then ''People`s Provincial Theatre'') in Pristina and founder and manager of Kosovafilm, a film production, distribution and screening company. Biography Azem Shkreli was born on February 10, 1938, in Peć, Kingdom of Yugoslavia (now Kosovo). He lost his mother when he was two years old, and was brought up by his grandmother, who also died when he was a young boy. He went to elementary school in his hometown, and in Pristina, he attended high school and graduated in 1961, and then went to the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Pristina, to study in the Department of Albanian Language and Literature Studies, from which he graduated in 1965. National Theatre Of Kosovo
The National Theatre of Kosovo ( sq, Teatri Kombëtar; sr, Narodno pozorište, script=Latn / ) was founded in 1946 in the city of Prizren, Kosovo. It is the highest ranked theatre institution in the country, with the largest number of productions. The National Theatre is the only public theatre in Kosovo and therefore it is financed by Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport. This theatre has produced more than 400 premieres which have been watched by more than 3 million spectators. History Establishment ''The National Theatre of Kosovo'' was founded in 1946 in Prizren and it was the first professional theatre in Kosovo after the World War II. Kole Čašule
Nikola "Kole" Čašule ( cyrl, Коле Чашуле; March 2, 1921 – September 22, 2009) was a Macedonian-Yugoslavian essayist, dramatist, short story writer and ambassador. Chashule was one of the founders of the Macedonian Writers' Association and served as the organization's president. Čašule was born as Nikola Kepev in the town of Prilep, Kingdom of Yugoslavia, in the present-day North Macedonia. From 1938 till the beginning of the World War II, he studied medicine at the University of Belgrade. In May 1941, together with other students from Vardar Macedonia, he left for Sofia to continue his studies. There he met Nikola Vaptsarov, Venko Markovski and Todor Pavlov. He was a member of the partisan communist group that started the communist resistance against Bulgarian occupation on October 11, 1941 in Prilep. ''Rilindja'' (English: ''Renaissance'') was a Kosovo Albanian newspaper and book publisher. It was the first newspaper in Albanian in Yugoslavia. History ''Rilindja'' first came out on 12 February 1945, in Prizren, as the first newspaper in Albanian in Yugoslavia. It was initially printed at the State Printing Shop in Prizren for issues 1 to 60. From issue 61 onward, it was printed in Prishtina's Regional Printing House of the People's Front of Yugoslavia. In the beginning, it was published weekly until 27 June 1948. After that, it began to come out twice a week, on Sundays and Thursdays. University Of Pristina
The University of Pristina ( sq, Universiteti i Prishtinës) is a public university located in Pristina, Kosovo. It is the institution that emerged after the disestablishment of the University of Pristina (1969–99) as a result of the Kosovo War. The inauguration of the university was a historical occurrence not only for the people of Kosovo, but for the whole Albanian nation. On 15 February, the solemn Parliament session took place, which is also proclaimed as The University of Pristina's Day. In the composition of the newly established University of Pristina were faculties with their headquarters in Pristina: the Faculty of Philosophy, Faculty of Law and Economics, Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Medicine. Kosovafilmi was a film production, distribution and screening company in Socialist Autonomous Province of Kosovo, Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Yugoslavia. Established on 20 February 1969, its first general director was Abdurrahman Shala. The following directors were Azem Shkreli, in which period the best movies of Kosovafilm were produced, also Xhevat Qorraj and Ekrem Kryeziu. The actual director of Kosovafilm is Gani Mehmetaj.
