Ayşe Sultan (Haseki Of Murad IV)
Ayşe Sultan ( ota, عایشه سلطان; "''the living one''" or "''womanly''"; died 1680) was the Haseki of Sultan Murad IV of the Ottoman Empire. Life Ayşe’s real name is unknown. She was of Greek origin. She most likely appeared at the harem in the 1626 and soon became the sultan’s favorite, however she never was his only concubine. Privy Purse registers the presence of Ayşe as Murad's only Haseki until the very end of Murad's seventeen-year reign, when a second concubine, with the very high salary of 2.751 coin a day (but reduced to 2,000 after seven months), appeared. According to historian Leslie Peirce, this woman would have been Murad's second Haseki. Koçi Bey
Koçi Bey (died 1650) was a high-ranking Ottoman bureaucrat who lived in the first half of the 17th century. Biography He was an ethnic Albanian, born in Korçë in eastern Albania. Within the scope of the ''devshirme'' system, he studied in the Enderun (palace school) in Istanbul. He was assigned to various posts and became the consultant of two sultans, Murad IV (1623–1640) and Ibrahim (1640–1648). He prepared a series of reports ( Risale) about reforms in the empire. He presented his first report to Murad IV in 1631, and the second to Ibrahim in 1640. Although the literary style of the first was more elaborate than the second, the main points were the same. Turhan Sultan
Turhan Hatice Sultan ( ota, تورخان سلطان, "''nobility of the Khan''" or ''mercy of the Khan'' " and "''respecful lady''"; 1627 – 4 August 1683) was the first Haseki Sultan of the Ottoman Sultan Ibrahim (reign 1640–48) and Valide Sultan as the mother of Mehmed IV (reign 1648–87). Turhan was prominent for the regency of her young son and her building patronage. She and her mother-in-law, Kösem Sultan, are the only two women in Ottoman history to be regarded as official regents and had supreme control over the Ottoman Empire. The Privy Purse is the British Sovereign's private income, mostly from the Duchy of Lancaster. This amounted to £20.1 million in net income for the year to 31 March 2018.
