''Ayushmaan'' is a Hindi language Indian television serial on Sony Entertainment Television from 2 August 2004 to 19 May 2005. It is the story of a child medical genius. Plot summary The popular soap was the story of a teenager whose carefree adolescence is pitted against the responsibilities that his medical profession demands from him. It later leads to heart-rending conflicts. It is based on a true child prodigy who became a qualified doctor at the age of 17. Trying to blend in, Ayushmaan pretends to be a poor student in school barely scraping through in his examinations. He spends his time playing basketball with his two close friends, Sonia (a carefree tomboy girl) and Rohit (a free-spirited boy from a rich family). His medical knowledge is revealed when he helps deliver a child in an emergency.
