''Ayitham'' () is a 1988 Indian Malayalam-language drama film written and directed by Venu Nagavally and produced by Ambika and Radha sisters. The film stars Mohanlal, Ambika, Radha and Sukumari in lead roles. The film features music composed by M. G. Radhakrishnan. The plot is set in an Agraharam. Plot Vasudevan is a renowned singer of a village. Once his small village was known in his name. However, with fame came comfort; comfort to pursue his innate wild nature. This led to destruction of his life and his family. His son, Shankaran is unemployed and Bhama, daughter of the village's landlord is in love with him. Though he doesn't reciprocate as she would love to. The villagers are poor but they try to live as decently as possible with available resources. However, it becomes impossible for everyone to handle the poverty and low quality of life. Radha (actress)
Udaya Chandrika, better known by her screen/stage name Radha (born 3 June 1965), is an Indian actress, who predominantly appears in Tamil and Telugu films in addition to a few Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi films. She was one of the top heroine in the film industry for about a decade; from 1981 to 1991 (dominating the 80s era). Her elder sister Ambika, was also an actress. Ambika and Radha acted together in a number of films, during the peak of their careers. They also co-owned a movie studio called "ARS Studios" in 1986. Venu Nagavally
Venu Nagavally (16 April 1949 – 10 September 2010) was an Indian actor, screenwriter and director best known for his work in Malayalam cinema, Malayalam film industry. He has directed 12 films. Son of writer, commentator, and broadcaster Nagavally R. S. Kurup, Venu has acted in about fifty films, directed films such as ''Sukhamo Devi'' (1986), ''Sarvakalashala'' (1987), ''Lal Salam (1990 film), Lal Salam'' (1990), and ''Aye Auto'' (1990), and scripted the commercially successful ''Kilukkam'' (1991). Chandrashekaran Menon, better known by his screen name Sankaradi (14 July 1924 – 8 October 2001), was an Indian actor. He was a veteran Malayalam comedian and character artist, who had over 700 Malayalam films to his credit. He dominated the Malayalam film scene in the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s as a comedian along with Adoor Bhasi and Bahadoor. Later, he switched to character roles. Edappal Ponnamkuzhi Veettil Parameswaran Sukumaran Nair (10 June 1948 – 16 June 1997), known mononymously as Sukumaran, was an Indian actor and producer of Malayalam films. Sukumaran became a popular film star in Malayalam cinema during the 1970s. He was considered one of the superstar trios of Malayalam cinema during the late 1970s and early 1980s along with Soman and Jayan.
