Axel Jungk
Axel Jungk (born 13 April 1991) Is a German skeleton racer who represents his nation in the Skeleton World Cup. Jungk finished in third place in the standings in the 2014-15 Skeleton World Cup season. During the 2015-16 Skeleton World Cup Season he finished fourth, with a tie with Alexsandr Tretyakov for silver at Winterberg and a bronze at Park City. In the 2016–17 World Cup circuit he once again finished fourth with a bronze at Altenberg. Jungk finished in second place in the standings in the 2017–18 Skeleton World Cup, racking up a total of 1,507 points from a gold at Königssee, a silver at St. Moritz and a bronze at Park City. Jungk finished fourth in the 2018-19 Skeleton World Cup with a silver at Winterberg and a bronze in Igls. He began the 2019-20 Skeleton World Cup season with a win at Lake Placid. Zschopau
Zschopau (), is a town in the Erzgebirgskreis district of Saxony, Germany. Skeleton Racer
Skeleton is a winter sliding sport in which a person rides a small sled, known as a skeleton bobsled (or -sleigh), down a frozen track while lying face down and head-first. The sport and the sled may have been named from the bony appearance of the sled. Unlike other sliding sports of bobsleigh and luge, the race always involves single riders. Like bobsleigh, but unlike luge, the race begins with a running start from the opening gate at the top of the course. The skeleton sled is thinner and heavier than the luge sled, and skeleton gives the rider more precise control of the sled. Skeleton is the slowest of the three sliding sports, as skeleton's face-down, head-first riding position is less aerodynamic than luge's face-up, feet-first ride. The men's competition in skeleton at the 2022 Winter Olympics was held on 10 February (runs 1 and 2) and 11 February (runs 3 and 4), at the Xiaohaituo Bobsleigh and Luge Track in Yanqing District of Beijing. Utah Olympic Park Track
The Utah Olympic Park Track is a bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton track in the United States, located in the Utah Olympic Park near Park City, Utah. During the 2002 Winter Olympics in nearby Salt Lake City, the track hosted the bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton events. Today the track still serves as a training center for Olympic and development level athletes and hosts numerous local and international competitions. Aleksandr Vladimirovich Tretyakov (russian: Александр Владимирович Третьяков; born 19 April 1985) is a Russian skeleton rider. Tretyakov is Olympic champion (2014), World champion (2013), European champion (2007) as well as two-times winner of the Skeleton World Cup, which he won in 2008–09 and 2018–19. Career Tretyakov is the first Russian who won the World Championships ( 2013 in St. Moritz), the overall Skeleton World Cup ( 2008–09) and an Olympics bronze medal (at the 2010 Winter Olympics).
