Green Party (Sweden)
The Green Party ( sv, Miljöpartiet de gröna, lit=Environmental Party the Greens, commonly referred to in Swedish as Miljöpartiet or MP) is a political party in Sweden based on green politics. . Sparked by the anti-nuclear power movement following the 1980 nuclear power referendum, the party was founded in 1981 out of a discontent with the existing parties' environmental policies. In 1988 general election they won seats in the Swedish Riksdag for the first time, capturing 5.5 percent of the vote, and becoming the first new party to enter parliament in seventy years. Three years later, they dropped back below the 4 percent threshold. In 1994, they returned to parliament again and since have retained representation there. The party is represented nationally by two spokespeople, always one man and one woman. These roles are currently held by Per Bolund and Märta Stenevi. Between 3 October 2014 and 30 November 2021, the Green Party was a part of the Social Democratic led gover ...

Young Greens (Sweden)
The Young Greens ( sv, Grön Ungdom, ''GU'') are the youth wing of the Swedish Green Party, founded in 1986. GU is a part of the Swedish Green party, and membership in GU automatically includes membership in the Green Party for all members not turning 26 that year. Members of GU may, for example, hold elected any elected position within the Green Party where there is no legally binding age limit, with the same principles applying to the Green Students. Logo After a membership vote in 2012, the Young Greens changed their logo to the current one, an abstracted green leaf with the name of the organisation. 547 members participated in the vote. Previously, the organisation had a green footprint as its logo. This was adopted at 2005 annual general meeting in Gothenburg and symbolised the impact humans have on the earth during their lifetime, and the importance of that impact being as easy to wash away as a footprint on a beach is by waves. The symbol had been used for several ye ...

Baby Of The House
Baby of the House is the unofficial title given to the youngest member of a parliamentary house. The term is most often applied to members of the British parliament from which the term originated. The title is named after the Father of the House, which is given to the ''longest serving'' member of the British and other parliaments. United Kingdom Becoming the Baby of the House is regarded as something of an achievement despite the lack of any special treatment that comes with the title. However, some MPs who have held the position for a considerable period – Matthew Taylor was the Baby of the House for over ten years – have found it somewhat embarrassing, as it may suggest that they have a lack of experience, although many holders of the title have gone on to enjoy long and distinguished parliamentary careers. At the turn of the twenty-first century (August 1999 to September 2001), all three of the leaders of the main political parties had been the youngest MPs in their par ...

21st-century Swedish Politicians
The 1st century was the century spanning AD 1 ( I) through AD 100 ( C) according to the Julian calendar. It is often written as the or to distinguish it from the 1st century BC (or BCE) which preceded it. The 1st century is considered part of the Classical era, epoch, or historical period. The 1st century also saw the appearance of Christianity. During this period, Europe, North Africa and the Near East fell under increasing domination by the Roman Empire, which continued expanding, most notably conquering Britain under the emperor Claudius (AD 43). The reforms introduced by Augustus during his long reign stabilized the empire after the turmoil of the previous century's civil wars. Later in the century the Julio-Claudian dynasty, which had been founded by Augustus, came to an end with the suicide of Nero in AD 68. There followed the famous Year of Four Emperors, a brief period of civil war and instability, which was finally brought to an end by Vespasian, ninth Roman emperor, ...
