Awake (Alison Wonderland Album)
''Awake'' is the second studio album from Australian electronic DJ and Producer Alison Wonderland. It was released on 6 April 2018 via EMI Music Australia. The album features four singles: "Happy Place", "Church", "No" and "High". In August 2018, Wonderland announced a 4-date national tour commencing in Brisbane in November 2018. At the ARIA Music Awards of 2018, the album was nominated for two awards; Best Female Artist and Best Dance Release. Critical reception Matt Collar from AllMusic said: "Showcasing the Aussie DJ's brightly effusive vocals and shimmering, propulsive electronic productions, ''Awake'' is an expansive, deeply felt album." Alexandra Margo Sholler (born 27 September 1986), known professionally as Alison Wonderland, is an Australian electronic dance music producer, DJ, and singer. Her debut album, ''Run'', was released on 20 March 2015, which peaked at No. 6 on the ARIA Albums Chart and was certified gold by ARIA. Her second album, ''Awake'', debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Dance/Electronic Albums. She was listed at No. 96 on ''DJ Mag''s Top 100 DJs in October 2018. The ARIA Charts are the main Australian music sales charts, issued weekly by the Australian Recording Industry Association. The charts are a record of the highest selling songs and albums in various genres in Australia. A phonograph record (also known as a gramophone record, especially in British English), or simply a record, is an analog sound storage medium in the form of a flat disc with an inscribed, modulated spiral groove. The groove usually starts near the periphery and ends near the center of the disc. At first, the discs were commonly made from shellac, with earlier records having a fine abrasive filler mixed in. Slumberjack (stylised in all caps) is an Australian electronic music duo consisting of Morgan Then and Fletcher Ehlers. Their 2017 single, "Fracture", peaked at 89 on the ARIA Charts. Jonti Danilewitz (born ), known mononymously as Jonti, is an South African-Australian electronic and alternative hip hop record producer, composer and songwriter. He is signed to Stones Throw Records and Future Classic. He was also a touring member of the Avalanches. Biography Danilewitz was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. His family relocated to Sydney, where he attended Masada College, Sydney in 1999.
