Aviston is a village in Clinton County, Illinois, United States. The population was 2,340 at the 2020 census, up from 1,945 at the 2010 census. Geography Aviston is located in western Clinton County at . U.S. Route 50 bypasses the village to the north, leading east to Carlyle, the county seat, and west to Interstate 64 near O'Fallon. Downtown St. Louis is west of Aviston. According to the 2021 census gazetteer files, Aviston has a total area of , all land. Trevor Michael Richards (born May 15, 1993) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball (MLB). Lavern George Holtgrave (October 18, 1942 – May 8, 2023) was an American professional baseball player, a right-handed pitcher who played for six pro seasons (1961–1966) and appeared in one Major League Baseball game for the 1965 Detroit Tigers. The Henry J is an American automobile built by the Kaiser-Frazer Corporation and named after its chairman, Henry J. Kaiser. Production of six-cylinder models began in their Willow Run factory in Michigan on July 1950, and four-cylinder production started shortly after Labor Day, 1950.
