Avior Regional was a Venezuelan regional airline that was a subsidiary of Avior Airlines. It began operations in March 2015 with flights from Caracas to Barinas, Valera as well as Curaçao. History In 2012, after the bankruptcy and subsequent restoration of Avior Airlines that took place between 2007 and 2009, company executives proposed the creation of a regional subsidiary that would cover the demand for all destinations previously operated by Avior Airlines. On March 7, 2015, Avior Airlines announced the launch of subsidiary Avior Regional, which is intended to expand the parent company's domestic operations. Flights commenced four days later, operating from Caracas to Barinas and Valera. Avior Regional started flights to its first international destination, Curaçao, on July 16, 2015. Fokker 50
The Fokker 50 is a turboprop-powered airliner, designed as an improved version of the successful Fokker F27 Friendship. The Fokker 60 is a stretched freighter version of the Fokker 50. Both aircraft were manufactured and supported by Dutch aircraft manufacturer Fokker. The Fokker 50 was developed during the early 1980s following a decline in the sales of the company's earlier F27 Friendship. It was decided that the new airliner would be a derivative of its predecessor, sharing much of its airframe and design features, while incorporating new advances and several improvements, such as the adoption of Pratt & Whitney Canada PW127B turboprop engines, in order to produce a successor that had a 30 per cent reduction in fuel consumption over the F27. ''El Mundo'' is a Venezuelan evening newspaper. It was launched on 3 February 1958 in Caracas, shortly after the end of the dictatorship of Marcos Pérez Jiménez on 23 January 1958. It was founded by Miguel Ángel Capriles Ayala, who had launched ''Últimas Noticias'' in 1941. Its first director was journalist and future President Ramón José Velásquez. For most of its existence ''El Mundo'' was the only Venezuelan evening newspaper; a rival, ''April'', was launched by Bloque DeArmas in 1997 but closed in 2003.
