Avi Ben-Chimol
Avraham "Avi" Ben-Chimol ( he, אבי בן-שימול; born May 22, 1985) is an Israeli professional basketball player for Maccabi Haifa of the Israeli Premier League. He was the Israeli Premier League Assists Leader in 2018 and 2019. Early years Ben-Chimol was born in Kfar Saba, Israel, he played for Maccabi Tel Aviv youth team, he also played for Ironi Tet high-school team and led them to win the state championship in 2003. Professional career Ben-Chimol started his professional career with Maccabi Tel Aviv. In his first season with Maccabi, he won the Israeli League, Israeli Cup and Euroleague titles. On May 1, 2004, Ben-Chimol recorded 2 points and 1 assist in the EuroLeague Final match against Skipper Bologna. Point Guard
The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five Basketball positions, positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. Point guards are expected to run the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. The Estonia men's national basketball team ( et, Eesti korvpallikoondis) represents Estonia in international basketball matches. They are controlled by the Estonian Basketball Association. The team competed in their first international tournament at the 1936 Olympic Games. Estonia has also qualified for the EuroBasket six times overall, with their best results coming in 1937 and 1939. 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup Qualification
The 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup qualification was the first FIBA Basketball World Cup, World Cup for which teams had to qualify for under the new qualification system. The process determined 31 out of the 32 teams that participated at the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup. Qualified teams Format The continental championships no longer belong to the qualification system for the World Cup. Instead, two rounds of continental qualifying tournaments were held over two years in a home-and-away format. The first round of the qualifiers were held in late 2017 and early 2018. The Israel men's national basketball team ( he, נבחרת ישראל בכדורסל) represents Israel in international basketball tournaments. They are administered by the Israeli Basketball Association. The 2016 Israeli Final Four was the concluding tournament of the 2015–16 Israeli Basketball Super League. It was the seventh Israeli Final Four, and the event is held for the first time since the 2012 edition. Unlike previous Final Four tournaments, there would not be a third placed game.
