Avengers United
''Avengers United'' is part of Marvel UK's 'Collector Edition' line. It is being published by Panini Comics but reprints Marvel Comics from the United States. This title reprints Avengers or Avengers related comics. Each Issue is 76 pages long with two modern stories and one classic story reprinted. Avengers United is sold once every 28 days through Newsagents, although a subscription offer is available. It was first published in June 2001 after '' Marvel Heroes Reborn'' closed down. The original cost of the comic was £2.40, although it now retails at £2.50. Format The cover for the comic is made out of thick card, unlike US that have a far thinner paper based cover. At certain issue milestones, a special 100 page issue is printed, for the same price as a 76-page issue. These have been #50, #75 and #100. The New Avengers (comics)
The New Avengers is a fictional team of superheroes appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The title has been used for four American comic book series. The first two were written by Brian Michael Bendis and depicted a version of Marvel's premiere superhero team, the Avengers. The third was written by Jonathan Hickman and depicted a group of characters called the Illuminati (formerly introduced in ''New Avengers'' Vol. 1 #7 uly 2005. The fourth is written by Al Ewing and depicts the former scientific terrorist group A.I.M., reformed as "Avengers Idea Mechanics", whose field team has appropriated the name "New Avengers" for itself. ''Avengers Unconquered'' is part of Marvel UK's 'Collectors' Edition' line. It is published by Panini Comics and reprints Marvel Comics from the United States. This title reprints Avengers or Avengers related comics. Each Issue is 76 pages long normally with 3 modern stories reprinted. Avengers Unconquered is sold once every 28 days through Newsagents, although a subscription offer is available. The comic replaced '' Avengers United'' which ended in December 2008 with issue #100. The comic retails at £2.95. ''JLA/Avengers'' (issues #2 and 4 are titled ''Avengers/JLA'') is a comic book limited series and crossover published in prestige format by DC Comics and Marvel Comics from September 2003 to March 2004. The series was written by Kurt Busiek, with art by George Pérez. The series features the two companies' teams of superheroes, DC Comics' Justice League of America and Marvel's Avengers. Publication history In 1979, DC and Marvel agreed to co-publish a crossover series involving the two teams, to be written by Gerry Conway and drawn by George Pérez. The plot of the original crossover was a time travel story involving Marvel's Kang the Conqueror and DC's Lord of Time. ''Avengers Forever'' is a twelve-issue comic book limited series published from December 1998 to November 1999 by Marvel Comics. It follows the storyline of Rick Jones and his quest to build a team of Avengers from the past, present, and future. The series was written by Kurt Busiek and Roger Stern and drawn by Carlos Pacheco and Jesus Merino. In 2021, a new Avengers Forever series was released, following the character Ghost Rider. Publication history Marvel originally contracted Busiek and Pacheco to produce a series called ''Avengers: World in Chains'', but it was too similar to another project (presumably Mutant X) and was cancelled by the company.
