Avatharam (1995 Film)
''Avatharam'' () is a 1995 Indian Tamil-language musical film written and directed by Nassar, making his directorial debut. The film stars him and Revathi. The film, produced by Vaidyanathan, had musical score by Ilaiyaraaja and was released on 9 June 1995 to critical acclaim. Plot Kuppusamy ( Nassar), an innocent man, dreams to perform in Pandi's (Delhi Ganesh) troupe, which performs in Hindu festivals. Baasi (Bala Singh) is expelled from the troupe for his bad behavior. Finally, Pandi accepts Kuppusamy into his troupe. The blind girl Ponnamma (Revathi), Pandi's daughter, falls in love with Kuppusamy. For some time, the festival's organizers prefer female dancers. Thereafter, Pandi dies during a stage performance, and the troupe splits up. Kuppusamy leaves the village with Ponnamma to become a cinema actor. There, they meet Baasi, and he accommodates them. Nassar (actor)
M. Nassar (born 5 March 1958) is an Indian actor, director, producer, dubbing artist, singer and politician who mainly works in the Tamil and Telugu film industries he has also worked in few Malayalam, English and Hindi films. He is the incumbent president of the Nadigar Sangam. Early life and education Nassar was born on 5 March 1958 to Mehaboob Basha and Mumtaz in Tamil Nadu, India. He studied in St. Joseph's Higher Secondary School (Chengalpattu). He moved to Madras (now Chennai) after school, where he finished his pre-university at Madras Christian College. At Madras Christian College, he was an active member of the Dramatic Society. Later for a brief time, he worked in the Indian Air Force. Malaysia Vasudevan
Vasudevan (15 June 1944 – 20 February 2011), known as Malaysia Vasudevan, was a Malaysian-Indian playback singer and actor in Tamil cinema. Early life Malaysia Vasudevan's parents were from Palakkad. Chattu Nair of Ottappalam and Ammalu of Polpulli, along with their families migrated to British Malaya in search of a livelihood. After a few years, Chattu Nair married Ammalu in an arranged marriage. Vasudevan was born on 15 June 1944 as their eighth and youngest child. Even though he was a Malayali, as was the case with the majority of contemporary South Indian migrants to Malaya then, his surroundings in Malaysia was dominated by the Tamil language and culture.
