Auvézère
The Auvézère (; Occitan dialect: ''Auvesera'') is a 112 km long river in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France. It is a tributary of the river Isle, which is itself a tributary of the Dordogne. Geography The river begins at above sea level at the northwestern edge of the Massif Central mountains, south of Saint-Germain-les-Belles in the Haute-Vienne department. The river runs in a generally southwestern direction, passing through the Corrèze and Dordogne departments. It flows into the river Isle in Bassillac. Near Cubjac, at the Moulin de Soucis, part of its water is diverged to the Isle. Savignac-Lédrier (; oc, Savinhac Ledrier) is a commune in the Dordogne department of Nouvelle-Aquitaine in southwestern France. Geography The commune is situated by the Auvézère river, and is surrounded by other communes including Saint-Cyr-les-Champagnes, Saint-Mesmin, Lanouaille and Payzac.
