The Austria women's national rugby sevens team competes in the Rugby Europe Women's Sevens Conference. They placed second at the 2017 Rugby Europe Women's Sevens Conference and were promoted, along with Norway to the 2018 Rugby Europe Women's Sevens Trophy. They placed 11th overall and were relegated to the Women's Sevens Conference for 2019. They placed third at the 2019 Rugby Europe Women's Sevens Conference and missed out on promotion to the Women's Sevens Trophy. The 2017 Rugby Europe Women's Sevens Conference was the third level of international women's rugby sevens competitions organised by Rugby Europe during 2017. The 2018 Rugby Europe Women's Sevens Trophy is the second division of the 2018 Rugby Europe Women's Sevens. This edition was hosted by the cities of Dnipro and Szeged from 23 June to 1 July, with the two highest-placed teams promoted to the 2019 Grand Prix and the two teams with the fewest points relegated to the 2019 Conference.
