Australian Olympic Foundation
The Australian Olympic Foundation is a foundation established to help future Australian athletes develop and compete at an Olympic level. In February 1996, the Foundation was constituted by Deed of Settlement between Julius L Patching as Settlor and the Australian Olympic Foundation Limited ( ACN 071 220 025) an Australian Public Company, Limited By Guarantee. as Trustee. The members and Directors of the Australian Olympic Foundation Limited are the voting members of the Executive of the Australian Olympic Committee. The Foundation has been constituted and is controlled and administered so as to develop and protect the Olympic Movement in Australia in accordance with the Olympic Charter including, in particular, funding the preparation and participation of the Australian Teams in the Olympic Games, Olympic Winter Games and Regional Games and the costs and expenses of the AOC. Judy Patching
Julius Lockington "Judy" Patching, AO, OBE (4 January 1917 – 13 February 2009) was an Australian Olympic sports administrator, and businessman. Early years Patching started his involvement in sport as a track and field athlete in 1932 with the Geelong Guild Athletic Club and Athletics Victoria (formerly the Victorian Amateur Athletic Association). In 1933, he played a year of Australian Rules Football for Rosebud in the Mornington Peninsula Nepean Football League. He was a keen hurdler and pentathlete, making the finals in both 110 and 440 yards hurdles in the 1946 Victorian championships. Patching joined the Royal Australian Navy in 1934 and served for 13 years, including World War II. He knew some of the sailors killed in the loss of HMAS ''Sydney''. Australian Company Number
An Australian Company Number (usually shortened to ACN) is a unique identifier required by every company registered under Australia’s ''Corporations Act 2001'' (Cth). The ACN is a nine-digit number issued by the Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC) to every Australian company. The number is usually printed in three groups of three digits, and preceded by the letters ACN must be quoted on all correspondence and invoices issued by the company. A company may also be required to have a Tax File Number (TFN) and an Australian Business Number (ABN). If a company has an ABN, it may use the ABN in place of the ACN on documents, preceded by the letters ABN. A similar nine-digit (ARBN) is used for non-company entities such as registerable Australian bodies, and for foreign companies.
