Australia-China Council
The Australia-China Council (ACC) is a long-standing institution in the Australia-China bilateral relationship. ACC was established by the Government of Australia in 1978 to promote mutual understanding and foster people-to-people relations between Australia and China. ACC combines the cross-sectoral bilateral expertise and advisory capacity of an independent Board appointed by the Minister for Foreign Affairs with the policy-making and management base in the Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade. By the time of the ACC's fortieth anniversary in 2018, it had "funded over 2,600 projects at a value of more than $23 million". Warwick Leslie Smith
Warwick Leslie Smith AO (born 13 May 1954) is an Australian politician, and was a Liberal member of the Australian House of Representatives from December 1984 to March 1993 and again from March 1996 to October 1998, representing the Division of Bass, Tasmania. Smith attended the Launceston Church Grammar School and the Australian National University, where he studied law, history and political science. He later graduated from the University of Tasmania with a Bachelor of Laws in 1979. He then worked as a solicitor in Tasmania. Smith was elected to Parliament in 1984 and later held two ministerships in John Howard's government: Minister for Sport, Territories and Local Government from March 1996 to October 1997, and then Minister for Family Services until October 1998. Anne-Marie Schwirtlich
Anne-Marie Lucienne Schwirtlich , is an Australian librarian who was the Director-General of the National Library of Australia from 2011 to 2017. In 2015, she was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM). Born in Bombay in India to a French-speaking Mauritian mother and a German-speaking Czech father, Anne-Marie Schwirtlich spent her early years living in Bombay where she attended the Pck Presentation Convent Primary School in Kodaikanal.
