Austin Wranglers
The Austin Wranglers were an arena football team based in Austin, Texas. They played four seasons in the Arena Football League from 2004 to 2007 and spent one season in af2, the AFL's developmental league, in 2008. They made playoff appearances in the AFL in 2006 and in af2 in 2008. They played their home games at the Frank Erwin Center at the University of Texas at Austin. History The Wranglers began play in February 2004 in sports, 2004 as an expansion team in the Arena Football League. They played their home games at the Frank Erwin Center on the University of Texas at Austin, University of Texas campus, playing in the Southern Division of the National Conference. Frank Erwin Center
The Frank C. Erwin Jr. Center (commonly known as Frank Erwin Center or UT Erwin Center and originally Special Events Center) is an inactive multi-purpose arena located on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin in Austin, Texas. It is also sometimes referred to as "The Drum" or "The Superdrum", owing to its round, drum-like appearance from outside (not to be confused with Big Bertha (drum), Big Bertha, the large bass drum used by the University of Texas marching band). Damon Mason
Damon Mason (born April 21, 1974) is a former American football defensive back. Playing career High school career Mason played high school football at Destrehan High School. College career Mason played college football at the University of Southwestern Louisiana and Jones County Junior College. He spent 1992 as redshirt freshman at Southwestern Louisiana before transferring to Jones County for the 1993 season. In 1994, Mason returned to Southwestern Louisiana and played through 1996. He finished his career at Southwestern Louisiana with 243 total tackles, 28 tackles for loss, four sacks and six interceptions and had his number was retired by the school. In 2018, he was inducted into the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (formerly Southwestern Louisiana) Athletics Hall of Fame. Chad Everett Dukes (born December 29, 1971) is a former American football running back in the National Football League for the Washington Redskins (1998–2000), San Diego Chargers (1998), St. Louis Rams (2000) and the Jacksonville Jaguars (2000) and played four games total in his NFL career (two for Jaguars, two for Skins). He played college football at the University of Pittsburgh. Adrian Jamal McPherson (born May 8, 1983) is a former gridiron football quarterback. McPherson played the majority of his professional career for the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League. He was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the fifth round of the 2005 NFL Draft.
