Austin Proehl
Austin Proehl (born October 11, 1995) is an American football wide receiver for the St. Louis BattleHawks of the XFL. He played college football at North Carolina. College career Proehl played college football for University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Professional career Buffalo Bills Proehl was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the seventh round (255th overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft. He was waived on September 1, 2018. Tennessee Titans On September 3, 2018, Proehl was signed to the Tennessee Titans' practice squad, but was released the following day. Los Angeles Rams On October 23, 2018, Proehl was signed to the Los Angeles Rams practice squad. Proehl signed a reserve/future contract with the Rams on February 6, 2019. 2020 XFL Draft
The 2020 XFL Draft was the inaugural player selection process to fill the rosters of the eight teams of the 2020 reboot of the XFL. The draft was held on October 15–16, 2019, via conference call, with results released through the XFL's social media channels. Structure The XFL player allocation process was held in multiple phases, separated by position groups. The league used a "snake" format in each phase, in which the draft order reversed with each round. The draft order was shuffled for each phase as predetermined through lotteries. A draft pool of 1,000 eligible players was announced in 200-player installments the week before the draft. The first three phases took place on October 15, with the final two phases occurring on October 16. Teams were given 90 seconds to make each pick. Christian Blake Proehl (born January 12, 1999) is an American football wide receiver who is a free agent. He played college football at East Carolina. He is also a music recording artist. Football career Early life and high school Proehl was born in Greensboro, North Carolina and grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he attended Providence High School. As a senior, he caught 52 passes for 1,016 yards and 12 touchdowns and was named first-team All-SoMeck 8 Conference. College career Proehl was a member of the East Carolina Pirates for four seasons.
