Austin Bold FC
Austin Bold FC was an American professional soccer team located in Austin, Texas. Founded in 2017, the team made its debut in the USL Championship in 2019. In 2021, Austin Bold FC announced it would be moving to Fort Worth, Texas leaving Circuit of the Americas at the end of the season but may have to wait until 2023, depending on the construction of their stadium. The team is not active in the 2022 season. Stadium The club played at Bold Stadium on the grounds of the Circuit of the Americas race track, located between the amphitheater and the grand plaza. The first goal in the stadium was scored by Kleber Giacomazzi in a 1–0 win against San Antonio FC on March 30, 2019. Ownership Bobby Epstein, chairman of the Circuit of the Americas, has led the ownership group after becoming majority owner in 2017. Austin Aztex FC
Austin Aztex FC was an American professional soccer team based in Austin, Texas, United States. Founded in 2008, the team played in the USL First Division, and in the USL Division of the USSF D2 Pro League, the second tier of the American Soccer Pyramid. In October 2010, the Aztex were relocated to Orlando, Florida and became Orlando City after Orlando USL's rights were purchased by Phil Rawlins. The team was resurrected in 2011 by minority owner David Markley as the Austin Aztex, which began play in the USL Premier Development League in 2012 and moved to United Soccer League in 2014. Xavier Iván Báez Gamiño (born 22 July 1987) is a Mexican professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder. Career Báez debuted with Chivas on 17 April 2007 against Atlante in a 3–0 win for the ''Rojiblancos''. He played four times for Chivas in the Clausura 2007 Tournament, and scored his first goal on April 21, 2007, in a 9–0 win over Veracruz. He was loaned to Toluca in 2013 before he was transferred to Cruz Azul as an exchange for the services of Omar Bravo ahead of the 2014 Clausura. Billy Forbes (footballer, Born 1990)
Cadet Billy Forbes (born 13 December 1990) is a Turks and Caicos Islander professional footballer. He scored the game-winning goal in the 2014 Soccer Bowl. Club career Forbes spent his early career with Provopool Celtic and AFC Academy. In 2009, after training with the Vancouver Whitecaps, Forbes won a scholarship with Western Texas College. He also played college soccer for Lubbock Christian University. Forbes played during the summer of 2012 for the Mississippi Brilla of the USL PDL. and in May 2014 he joined San Antonio Scorpions from WV King's Warriors. The San Antonio Scorpions organization ceased operations following the 2015 NASL season. Forbes signed with NASL expansion side Rayo OKC on 28 January 2016. André Luiz Barreto Silva Lima (born 3 May 1985), commonly known as André Lima, is a Brazilian professional footballer who last played as a striker for Austin Bold. He plays as a striker. Club career Born in Rio de Janeiro, Lima was a youth player with Vasco da Gama until 2004 when he joined the senior team. Lima played for various teams in Brazil, as well as Germinal Beerschot in Belgium, before joining Botafogo. He was the joint top-scorer for Botafogo for the 2007 Copa do Brasil, in which they lost in the semifinal. On 28 August 2007, Lima signed a four year contract with Bundesliga side Hertha BSC with a transfer fee of €3.5 million. In Lima's first season, he played 16 games, scoring two goals. 2019 USL Championship Playoffs
The 2019 USL Championship Playoffs was the postseason tournament following the 2019 USL Championship regular season. Including USL Pro history, it was the ninth postseason tournament. The tournament began on October 23 and ended with the USL Championship Final on November 17. The top 10 teams from each conference qualified for the playoffs. Each conference had a "Play-In round" where the 7 seed hosted the 10 seed and the 8 hosted the 9. The lowest remaining seed then played the 1 seed and the other play-in survivor played the 2 seed to form an 8-team playoff bracket. Each of the 8 team playoff brackets consisted of teams within their respective conference and the matches were hosted by the higher seed. The USL Cup will be the season's only match that involves teams from different conferences; it will be hosted by the conference champion with the better regular-season record.
