Aurora Health Care Championship
The Aurora Health Care Championship was an annual United States golf tournament for professional women golfers on the Futures Tour, the LPGA Tour's developmental tour. The event was a part of the Futures Tour's schedule from 1995 to 2003, when it was played in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area and again from 2006 to 2008, when it has been played at the Geneva National Golf Club in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. The title sponsor was Aurora Health Care, a Wisconsin-based health care provider. The Tournament was a 54-hole event, as are most Futures Tour tournaments, and included pre-tournament pro-am opportunities, in which local amateur golfers can play with the professional golfers from the Tour as a benefit for local charities. Futures Tour
The Epson Tour, previously known as the LPGA Futures Tour, and known for sponsorship reasons between 2006 and 2010 as the Duramed Futures Tour and between 2012 and 2021 as the Symetra Tour, is the official developmental golf tour of the LPGA Tour. Tour membership is open to professional women golfers and to qualified amateurs. History The Futures Tour was founded in Florida in 1981 as the "Tampa Bay Mini Tour". It officially became the ''Futures Golf Tour'' in 1983 and in 1999 become a national tour designated as the "official developmental tour" of the LPGA Tour (the U.S.-based professional women's golf tour). Grace Park, Marilyn Lovander and Audra Burks were the first players to receive automatic LPGA Tour exempt status by finishing one, two, and three on the Futures Golf Tour Money List. Katherine Hull
Katherine Kirk (born 26 February 1982) is a professional golfer from Australia, currently playing on the U.S.-based LPGA Tour and the ALPG Tour. She played under her maiden name, Katherine Hull, until her marriage to Tom Kirk on 2 August 2012 and also under the name Katherine Hull-Kirk. Amateur career Hull began playing golf at age 12 in her native Australia. She attended Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, where she was an All-American in 2002–03 and was the NCAA Player of the Year in 2003. She collected eight collegiate wins during her career. LaRee Pearl Sugg (born November 11, 1969) is an athletic director for Richmond University since 2005. Before joining Richmond, Sugg became the third African American woman to play on the LPGA Tour in history. Sugg played on the LPGA tour from 1995 to 1996 and 2000 to 2001 with multiple appearances at the United States Women's Open Championship and Women's British Open.
