Aureliano Torres
Aureliano Torres Román (born 16 June 1982) is a Paraguayan former footballer who last played for 12 de Octubre in the Paraguayan División Intermedia. At club level, Torres achieved the 2002 Emperor's Cup in Japan, the Torneo Clausura of the 2006–07 Argentine Primera División and the 2012–13 Uruguayan Primera División of Uruguay, and with Paraguay he achieved the silver medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics Men's tournament and runners-up of the 2011 Copa América. Club career Torres was born in Luque. In 2007 he joined San Lorenzo and in his debut season the club won the Clausura tournament. In spite of that, he has not had a good relationship with the supporters, due to his lukewarm performances. The 2012–13 Liga Profesional de Primera División season, also known as the 2012–13 Copa Uruguaya or the 2012–13 Campeonato Uruguayo, was the 109th season of Uruguay's top-flight football league, and the 82nd in which it was professional. 2006–07 Argentine Primera División
The 2006–07 Argentina Primera Division was the 116th season of first division football in Argentina. Estudiantes (LP) won the Torneo Apertura and San Lorenzo won the Torneo Clausura. Belgrano and Quilmes were relegated to the Primera B Nacional and Huracan and Tigre were promoted after winning the relegation playoff against Godoy Cruz and Nueva Chicago respectively. Torneo Apertura Championship playoff Boca Juniors and Estudiantes LP ended up tied in points at the end of the 19 weeks of regular season. Tournament rules establish that, unlike any other position on the table, if two or more teams are equal in points at the end of play, goal difference does not count and a playoff game is required. The División Intermedia ( en, Intermediate Division), also known as the Segunda División ( en, Second Division), is the second tier professional football league in Paraguay. It is organized by the Asociación Paraguaya de Fútbol. Overview Since 1910 the second division tournaments have changed rules, number of teams and names. As of 2006, División Intermedia is the name for the second division and 16 teams are part of it.
