Auria
Auria—also known as Oria—was an early consort of Pamplona. She is known from a single historical source, the ''Códice de Roda'', which only gives her name and not her parentage. Historian and professor Antonio Rei has put forward the hypothesis that she could have been the granddaughter of Musa ibn Musa al-Qasawi, while genealogist Christian Settipani suggested this and two other alternatives when addressing her possible parentage. Aurea (singer)
Áurea Isabel Ramos de Sousa (born 7 September 1987), known professionally as Aurea, is a Portuguese soul singer originally from Santiago do Cacém, Alentejo, who grew up in Silves, Algarve. She debuted in 2008 with her single " Okay Alright", which was included on the soundtrack of the Portuguese television series ''Morangos com Açúcar''. At the end of 2008, she performed the song live at the Morangos Live Festival, among with two other cover duets. This concert was released on DVD in 2009. Aurea released her debut album, ''Aurea'', in September 2010. The album entered at number 21 at the Portuguese Albums Chart, but quickly reached number 1. It features the number " Busy for Me", which was released as the album's lead single. In December 2010, Aurea made a special live TV broadcast to promote some of her songs. Aurea Of Ostia
Aurea of Ostia (or ''Aura''; in Greek, ''Chryse''; both names mean “golden girl”) is venerated as the patron saint of Ostia. According to one scholar, “ though the acta of Saint Aurea are pious fiction, she was a genuine martyr with a very early cultus at Ostia.” Background According to tradition, she was martyred sometime during the mid-third century, either during the reign of Roman Emperor Claudius Gothicus or Trebonianus Gallus. Said to have been of royal or noble blood, Aurea was exiled from Rome to Ostia because she was a Christian. In Ostia, she lived on an estate outside of the city walls and maintained contact with local Christians, including the bishop of Ostia, Cyriacus (Quiriacus). Áurea Esther "Aury" Cruz Dalmau (born January 10, 1982) is an indoor and beach volleyball player from Puerto Rico who competed for the Puerto Rico national team at the 2008 Olympic Qualification Tournament in Japan, where she was named Best Server at the event. College career Cruz accepted an athletic scholarship to attend the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, where she competed for coach Mary Wise's Florida Gators women's volleyball team from 2000 to 2003. The Gators competed in NCAA Division I and the Southeastern Conference (SEC), and were the regular season SEC champions for four straight years during Cruz's college career. In 2003, Cruz guided the Gators to their first-ever appearance in the NCAA championship final, where they lost to the University of Southern California (USC). Áurea Of San Millán
Saint Aurea or Oria (from the la, golden) (1043-1070), was a Spanish anchorite saint attached to the Monastery of San Millán de la Cogolla, in the Spanish Province of La Rioja (Europe). She is commemorated on 11 March. Life Aurea was born in 1043 in the village of Villavelayo, then part of the Taifa of Zaragoza, a region controlled by the Moors. According to tradition, her mother was St. Amunia. As a child, she studied the Scriptures and the lives of the early martyrs of the Church under the guidance of a monk named Munio, who would later write her ''vita''. Her favorite saints to meditate upon and to try to imitate were Saint Agatha, Saint Eulalia and Saint Cecilia. When she was aged nine, Amunia and Aurea decided to leave the world and to embrace a life of asceticism.
