Aurach Bei Kitzbühel
Aurach bei Kitzbühel ( bar, Aurach bei Kitzbichi) is a municipality in Kitzbühel District in the Kitzbühel Alps in the Austrian state of Tyrol. Aurach is located 5 km south of district town of Kitzbühel on the river known as the Kitzbühler Ache and the road to Thurn Pass. The municipality is further divided into Unteraurach, Oberaurach and several scattered settlements and hamlets including Haberberg, Haselwand, Kochau, Sonnberg and Wiesenegg-Grüntal. It was mentioned for the first time in documents in 1289 s ''Orwiorwe''. Formerly a part of Kitzbühel district, Aurach became an independent municipality in 1833. It has 1171 inhabitants (as at 1 Jan 2010). Of historical significance is the former mine in the area of the Kelchalm. The river Aurach begins in the Franconian Heights to the west of the village Klausaurach in the municipality of Markt Erlbach. It runs through Aurachtal, the town of Herzogenaurach, and the Erlangen district of Frauenaurach. After crossing under the Main-Danube Canal, it joins the river Regnitz at the Erlangen district of Erlangen-Bruck. A recreational cycle path runs alongside the river Aurach from Herzogenaurach to Erlangen. Aurach () is a river of Bavaria, Germany. It is a left tributary of the Regnitz in Upper Franconia. The Aurach has its source in the Steigerwald Nature Park west of the village of Oberaurach, between Euerberg and Beerberg. The Aurach first flows in eastern and then in south-eastern direction, through, among others, the districts Priesendorf and Walsdorf of Oberaurach. Its mouth into the Regnitz is downstream from Stegaurach, just north of Pettstadt and somewhat south of Bamberg. The river runs in the north parallel to the Rauhe Ebrach, which flows into the Regnitz just one kilometer southwards of the Aurach, and in the south parallel to the Main (river), Main, which flows in the opposite direction. Aurach (Rednitz)
Aurach () is a river in the Bavarian ''Landkreise'' (districts) of Ansbach and Roth, Germany. The name means "river, where the Aurochs' graze" (Old High German ūr = Auerochs and aha = flowing water). The Aurach originates about west of Petersaurach, Middle Franconia at an altitude of above sea level. It flows almost eastward until it flows into the Rednitz. On its way, it passes the villages of Aich (Neuendettelsau, Bertholdsdorf (Windsbach) Veitsaurach (Windsbach), Barthelmesaurach (Kammerstein), Gauchsdorf (Büchenbach and Rothaurach (Roth). Downwards of Götzenreuth (Büchenbach), it is the receiving water of the southern flank of the . It flows to the northern edge of Roth at above sea level from the left into the Rednitz. Like most of the western tributaries of the Rednitz, the Aurach has a small slope and a small runoff as well as sand structures in the waterfront and in the waters of the river.
