Aura Airlines SL (previously Gowair Vacation Airlines) is a Spanish airline based at Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport. History Owned by tour operator Gowaii, it operates charter flights in Europe and offers ACMI leases to other airlines. The company received its first aircraft, an Airbus A320-200, in July 2017. Airlines lease aircraft from other airlines or leasing companies for two main reasons: to operate aircraft without the financial burden of buying them, and to provide temporary increase in capacity.
