Augustus Gregoire (1936 – 4 February 1972) was a Dominican cricketer who represented the Windward Islands in West Indian domestic cricket. He played as a wicket-keeper. Roseau
Roseau (Dominican Creole: ''Wozo'') is the capital and largest city of Dominica, with a population of 14,725 as of 2011. It is a small and compact urban settlement, in the Saint George parish and surrounded by the Caribbean Sea, the Roseau River and Morne Bruce. Bryan Mauricette
Bryan Michael Mauricette (born 4 September 1946) was a cricketer: a right-handed wicketkeeper-batsman who played a handful of first-class matches (and one List A game) for the Windward Islands between 1966–67 and 1972–73 without ever passing 20. He later played for Canada in both the 1979 ICC Trophy and the same year's World Cup. His new country lost all three of their World Cup matches by large margins, with Mauricette making just 20 runs in his three ODI innings. His ICC Trophy performances were also mostly poor, although he did make 72 in the semi-final victory against Bermuda. The Dominica national cricket team represents the country of Dominica in cricket. The team is not a member of the International Cricket Council, but the Dominica Cricket Association is a member of the Windward Islands Cricket Board of Control, which itself is a member association of the West Indies Cricket Board, and players from Dominica generally represent the Windward Islands cricket team at domestic level and the West Indies at international level. History The team's history goes back to 1895, when they played three matches against a touring side from England led by Slade Lucas, but because of the distance to the other cricketing countries, Jamaica did not play regular first-class cricket until 1964. 1968–69 Shell Shield Season
The 1968–69 Shell Shield season was the third edition of what is now the Regional Four Day Competition, the domestic first-class cricket competition for the countries of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB). The tournament was sponsored by Royal Dutch Shell, with matches played from 17 January to 6 March 1969. Six teams contested the tournament – Barbados, British Guiana, Jamaica, the Leeward Islands, Trinidad and Tobago, and the Windward Islands. The Leeward and Windward Islands both played fewer matches than the other teams, although the results from their matches still counted towards the title. Three teams – Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, and Barbados – were undefeated (either winning or drawing all their matches), but Jamaica had more points than the other teams, thus winning their inaugural title.
