Augustin Přeučil
Augustin Přeučil (3 July 1914 – 14 April 1947) was a Czechoslovakian military pilot, who during World War II worked as an intelligence agent for Nazi Germany. In 1941, whilst serving with the British Royal Air Force, he stole a fighter aircraft from England, and flew it to Occupied Europe where he surrendered it to the German authorities. He later worked in Occupied Central Europe with the Gestapo. Shortly after the war he was executed in Prague by the Czechoslovakian authorities for treason. Early life Přeučil was born on 3 July 1914 in the village Třebsín in Benešov, Central Bohemian Region, Central Bohemia. At the age of 21 he enrolled at the Civil Aviation School, from which he was Conscription, conscripted into Czechoslovakian Army for military service, which sent him to train as a pilot at the Military Aviation School in Prostějov. Benešov
Benešov (; german: Beneschau; also known as Benešov u Prahy) is a town in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 16,000 inhabitants. The town is known for the Konopiště Castle. Geography Benešov lies about southeast of Prague. The town is located in the Benešov Uplands on the Benešovský Stream. In the western part of the territory are situated the ponds Konopišťský and Jarkovický. History The area of Benešov began to be settled in the 11th century. The first settlers are believed to have arrived on Karlov Hill in around 1050 during the Přemyslid dynasty.
