August Burns Red is an American metalcore band from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, formed in 2003. The band's current lineup consists of lead guitarist John Benjamin "JB" Brubaker, rhythm guitarist Brent Rambler, drummer Matt Greiner, lead vocalist Jake Luhrs and bassist Dustin Davidson. The band was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2016 for Best Metal Performance for the song "Identity" from its 2015 release ''Found in Far Away Places'', and again in 2018 for "Invisible Enemy" from ''Phantom Anthem'' (2017). The band has released nine studio albums to date; their latest, ''Guardians'', was released on April 3, 2020. ''Found in Far Away Places'' is the seventh studio album by American metalcore band August Burns Red. It was released on June 29, 2015, through Fearless Records and was produced by Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland. It is their first release on the label. On December 7, 2015, the single "Identity (August Burns Red song), Identity" was nominated for a 58th Annual Grammy Awards, Grammy Award in the Best Metal Performance category, making it the band's first Grammy nomination. Background "The Wake" was the first song to be released from the album, debuting on April 13, 2015. A lyric video was uploaded via Fearless Records' YouTube channel, with a digital single being released that same day. Greeley Estates was an American metalcore band from Maricopa County, Arizona. Formed in 2002, the band released five full-length studio albums and four EPs. The group initially had an emo-influenced post-hardcore sound, but later shifted to the metalcore genre with their third studio album ''Go West Young Man, Let the Evil Go East'' (2008). Greeley Estates signed to Tragic Hero Records and Ferret Music in 2009 and released their fourth full-length album '' No Rain, No Rainbow'' in 2010, which features an even heavier sound. Misery Signals is an American-Canadian metalcore band formed in Wisconsin in 2002. History Formation (2002–2003) Misery Signals was formed after the disbanding of several bands, including 7 Angels 7 Plagues, Hamartia, and Compromise. Having played briefly with 7 Angels 7 Plagues, former Compromise vocalist, Jesse Zaraska, was approached by Ryan Morgan and Kyle Johnson for a new project which would become Misery Signals. Jeff Aust from Hamartia joined on as second guitar and Ryan Morgan's brother Branden joined as the band's drummer. Aust soon left the band and has since gone on to join With Honor. He was replaced by Stu Ross, a friend of Jesse Zaraska's from St. Albert, Alberta. In 2003 the band released its eponymous debut EP. It was released on June 19, 2007, through Solid State Records and was produced by the band themselves and Tue Madsen. It is their first release with vocalist Jake Luhrs and bass player Dustin Davidson. It sold 9,000 copies in its first week on sale, and went on to sell over 80,000. Background A video for the song "Composure" was recorded and was released as a single on September 6, 2007.
