Jacob "Little Augie" Orgen (January 1893 – October 16, 1927) was a New York gangster involved in bootlegging and labor racketeering during Prohibition. Biography Born to a middle-class Orthodox Jewish family from Austria as Jacob Orgenstein, Orgen became a well-known labor slugger for Benjamin "Dopey Benny" Fein by the early 1910s. Being ambitious, he had formed his own gang, "The Little Augies", c. 1911. He operated his labor rackets diligently for the next five or six years until his former boss, Dopey Benny, had faded from prominence. His rising star was soon put on hold, however, when "Kid Dropper" Nathan Kaplan and Johnny Spanish were both released from Sing Sing in 1917. While they worked together at first, they soon resumed their old rivalry and each formed his own separate gang. He is a former United States indoor shot put national champion, United States outdoor shot put national champion, and an Olympian. August "Auggie" Vidovich II (born February 20, 1981) is an American professional stock car racing driver. Racing career Vidovich was born in Lakeside, California. Vidovich has competed in the Elite Division Southwest Series for several years. He had a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series start in 1998 and two starts in 1999. He won the Southwest Series championship in 2003, and finished second in 2000, 2001, and 2005. In 2005, Vidovich won the Toyota All-Star Challenge. At the end of that season, Vidovich tried out for Roush Racing's Truck Series team in the team's TV show on the Discovery Channel, ''Roush Racing: Driver X'', but was not selected. Augie T. (born Augusto E. Tulba in 1968) is an American politician and member of the Honolulu City Council. Tulba is a Radio personality on KPHI, branded as "Shaka 96.7", based in Honolulu, Hawaii. August Robert Schmidt IV (born June 28, 1961) is the current head coach of the Carthage College baseball team. He was a minor league baseball shortstop from 1982 to 1986. High school and college career Schmidt attended Mary D. Bradford High School in Kenosha. He was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the ninth round (230th overall) of the 1979 Major League Baseball Draft, but he did not sign with the team. Instead, he attended the University of New Orleans, where he played college baseball. In 1981 he won a gold medal as a member of the United States national team in World Games I.
