Aud Schønemann
Aud Schønemann (13 November 1922 – 30 October 2006) was a Norwegian actress, regarded by many as the leading comedienne of her generation in Norway. She was born in Østre Aker, and was a daughter of actor August Schønemann and dancer Dagmar Kristensen. She started her acting career in 1945, and is probably best known for her role as Valborg Jensen in the Olsenbanden movies, as Marve Fleksnes' mother on the long-running Norwegian television comedy ''Fleksnes Fataliteter'' and as the janitor's wife in the comedy film '' Skulle det dukke opp flere lik er det bare å ringe'' (based on the play ''BusyBody'' by Jack Popplewell). Royal Norwegian Order Of St Olav
The Royal Norwegian Order of Saint Olav ( no, Den Kongelige Norske Sankt Olavs Orden; or ''Sanct Olafs Orden'', the old Norwegian name) is a Norwegian order of chivalry instituted by King Oscar I on 21 August 1847. It is named after King Olav II, known to posterity as St. Olav. Just before the union with Sweden was dissolved in 1905, the Order of the Norwegian Lion was instituted in 1904 by King Oscar II, but no appointments were awarded by his successor, King Haakon VII. The Order of St. Olav thus became the kingdom's only order of chivalry for the next 80 years. The Grand Master of the order is the reigning monarch of Norway. It is used to reward individuals for remarkable accomplishments on behalf of the country and humanity. Since 1985, appointments to the order has only been conferred upon Norwegian citizens, though foreign heads of state and royalty may be appointed as a matter of courtesy. Jack Popplewell (22 March 1909 – 16 November 1996) was an English writer and playwright. Life Popplewell was born and grew up in Leeds, West Riding of Yorkshire. He published his first song in 1940, and his first play, ''Blind Alley'' was staged in London in 1953. ''Blind Alley'' opened to positive reviews, and was later adapted to the cinema in ''Tread Softly Stranger'', released in 1958, and starring Diana Dors and George Baker. Popplewell owned Manor Farm, Churwell, Leeds, where he farmed rhubarb, later moving with his wife, Betty, and two daughters (Juliet and Vanessa) to Vaynol Gate, Morley, West Yorkshire. ''Skulle det dukke opp flere lik er det bare å ringe'' (If Any More Bodies Should Turn Up, Just Call) is a Norwegian crime comedy from 1970 directed by Knut Bohwim. The film stars Arve Opsahl and Aud Schønemann. The film is based on a popular theater production from 1968 with the same cast as in the film. The stage play was a translation of Jack Popplewell's British play ''Busybody'', from 1964. Plot A murder has occurred in the building where Lilly lives, and Lilly discovers the body and calls the police. According to Lilly, the victim is the head of a company on the top floor, and his name is Mr. Marthinsen. He also owns a farm. When Constable Jeremias P. Grodahl, played by Helge Reiss, arrives, the body has disappeared. ''Fleksnes Fataliteter'', better known by its shortened title ''Fleksnes'', was a Norwegian-Swedish-Danish television comedy series produced between 1972 and 2002, created by Swedish writer Bo Hermansson and based on Galton and Simpson's scripts for the British series ''Hancock's Half Hour''. History The series was born when Swedish writer Bo Hermansson began translating the British comedy series ''Hancock's Half Hour'' in the early 70s, drawing attention from three different Nordic broadcasters, who eventually produced and aired the series together. The main dialogue is in Norwegian, but nearly all episodes featured guest stars from both Sweden and Denmark. Fleksnes was only meant to be a single series of five or six episodes, but it became such a popular show in all three countries that it was immediately renewed for six more episodes.
