Dwight Foster (politician, Born 1828)
Dwight Foster (December 13, 1828April 18, 1884) was an American lawyer and politician from Massachusetts. He served as Massachusetts Attorney General and was an associate justice of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. Early life Foster was born in Worcester, Worcester County, Massachusetts and attended the common schools there and completed preparatory studies in Newport, Rhode Island. He graduated from Yale College in 1848, where he was a member of Skull and Bones. "This list is compiled from material from the Order of Skull and Bones membership books at Sterling Library, Yale University and other public records. The latest books available are the 1971 ''Living members'' and the 1973 ''Deceased Members'' books. The last year the members were published in the ''Yale Banner'' is 1969." Joseph A. Foster (born June 10, 1959) is an American politician who served as the 29th Attorney General of New Hampshire from 2013 to 2017. He was formerly a Democratic member of the New Hampshire Senate, representing the 13th district from 2002 until 2008 and served as the State Senate Majority Leader in 2007 and 2008. Previously he was a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives from 1994 through 1998. On April 17, 2013 he was confirmed to the office of New Hampshire Attorney General. He took office on May 15, 2013, succeeding Michael A. William John Foster
William John Foster (13 January 1831 – 16 August 1909) was a politician and Supreme Court judge in colonial New South Wales, Attorney General from 1877 to 1878. Foster was born in Rathescar, County Louth, Ireland, the son of Rev. William Henry Foster of Loughgilly, County Armagh, and his wife Catherine, Hamilton. Foster was educated at Cheltenham College, and at Trinity College Dublin, where he took the Vice-Chancellor's prize for Greek in 1850, also the composition prize in the same year, as well as honours in classics and mathematics. He left the university in 1851. Foster arrived in Sydney in August 1854, and for the first three years of his residence in New South Wales devoted himself to agricultural pursuits. He then studied law, and was called to the colonial bar in 1858, when he entered on the practice of his profession.
