Atlético de Madrid B is a Spanish football team based in Madrid, in the community of Madrid. Founded on 17 September 1963, it is the reserve team of Atlético Madrid and currently plays in Segunda Federación – Group 5. They play their home games at Cerro del Espino Stadium. History The club was founded in 1964 as ''Reyfra Atlético O.J.E.'' when ''CD Reyfra'' (1963–64) and ''CA Getafe'' merged. In 1970 it absorbed ''Aviaco Madrileño CF'', which was established in 1967 when ''Madrileño CF'' (1956–67) and ''AD Aviaco'' merged, became affiliated with Atlético Madrid and in 1970 changed its name to ''Atlético Madrileño Club de Fútbol''. Estadio Cerro Del Espino
The Mini Estadio Cerro del Espino is a multi-use stadium located in Majadahonda, Community of Madrid, Spain. It holds 3800 spectators. It is currently used for football matches and is the home stadium of Atlético Madrid reserve team In sports, a reserve team is a team composed of players under contract to a club but who do not normally play in matches for the first team. Rubén Baraja
Rubén Baraja Vegas (; born 11 July 1975) is a Spanish retired footballer, currently manager of Valencia. A complete central midfielder with good tackling, technique, and offensive qualities, together with accurate passing and goalscoring ability, he played mostly for Valencia during a 17-year professional career, being an essential figure in five of the club's major titles, which included two La Liga championships. Gabriel Luis Fernández Arenas (; born 10 July 1983), known as Gabi (), is a Spanish former professional footballer who played as a defensive midfielder. He made 429 La Liga appearances, mostly in two spells at Atlético Madrid interspersed with a period at Zaragoza, winning domestic and European silverware with the former. The 2001 Segunda División B play-offs (Playoffs de Ascenso or Promoción de Ascenso) were the final playoffs for promotion from 2000–01 Segunda División B to the 2001–02 Segunda División.
