Atle Simonsen
Atle Simonsen (born 4 November 1988) is a Norwegian politician. Career Simonsen was elected deputy representative to the Storting from the constituency of Rogaland, for the period 2017–2021 for the Progress Party. He replaced Solveig Horne at the Storting from October 2017, where he was a member of the Standing Committee on Labour and Social Affairs. He was political advisor in the Ministry of Health from 2016 to 2017. Progress Party (Norway)
The Progress Party ( nb, Fremskrittspartiet; nn, Framstegspartiet; se, Ovddádusbellodat), commonly abbreviated as FrP, is a right-wing political party in Norway. The FrP has traditionally self-identified as classical-liberal and as a libertarian party but is generally positioned to the right of the Conservative Party, and is considered the most right-wing party to be represented in parliament. It is often described as moderately right-wing populist; this characterization has also been disputed in both academic and public discourse. Storting
The Storting ( no, Stortinget ) (lit. the Great Thing) is the supreme legislature of Norway, established in 1814 by the Constitution of Norway. It is located in Oslo. The unicameral parliament has 169 members and is elected every four years based on party-list proportional representation in nineteen multi-seat constituencies. A member of Stortinget is known in Norwegian as a ''stortingsrepresentant'', literally "Storting representative". Rogaland
Rogaland () is a Counties of Norway, county in Western Norway, bordering the North Sea to the west and the counties of Vestland to the north, Vestfold og Telemark to the east and Agder to the east and southeast. Solveig Horne
Solveig Horne (born 12 January 1969) is a Norwegian politician for the Progress Party who served as Minister of Children and Equality in the Solberg Cabinet from 2013 to 2018. She was also an MP for Rogaland from 2005 to 2021. She has been an elected official since 1995, and was elected to the Storting, the Norwegian parliament, from Rogaland in the 2005 election, and was re-elected for three consecutive terms in 2009, 2013 and 2017. State Secretary (Norway)
In Norway, a state secretary ( no, statssekretær) is a partisan political position within the executive branch of government. Contrary to the position secretary of state in many other countries, a Norwegian state secretary does not head his or her ministry, rather, they are second in rank to a minister. Resembling a ''de facto'' vice minister, the state secretary, however, cannot attend a Council of State, and does not act as a temporary minister in case of illness or other leave of absence.
