Atlas (story Arc)
"The Coming of Atlas" is a comic book story arc, from DC Comics, by writer James Robinson and artists Renato Guedes and José Wilson Magalhães, featuring Superman. This is Robinson's first story arc on the ''Superman'' title, as ongoing writer after Kurt Busiek's departure. This, as well as Geoff Johns's "Brainiac" arc on ''Action Comics'', lead to their planned narrative unification on ''Action Comics'', ''Superman'' and ''Supergirl'' in " Superman: New Krypton". Publication history The character of Atlas first and only appearance prior to this story was in DC Comics ''1st Issue Special'' #1 in 1975. James Robinson was named as the new ''Superman'' writer on February 8, 2008. In many of his interviews approaching the start of his run, he stated that he always wanted to work on ''Superman'', and also with writer Geoff Johns, comparing the two of them as Hal Jordan and Oliver Queen. ''Superman'' is an ongoing American comic book series featuring the DC Comics superhero Superman as its main protagonist. Superman began as one of several anthology features in the National Periodical Publications comic book ''Action Comics'' #1 in June 1938. The strip proved so popular that National launched Superman into his own self-titled comic book, the first for any superhero, premiering with the cover date Summer 1939. Between 1986 and 2006 it was retitled, ''The Adventures of Superman'', while a new series used the title ''Superman''. In May 2006, it was returned to its original title and numbering. The title was canceled with issue #714 in 2011, and was relaunched with issue #1 the following month which ended its run in 2016. A fourth series was released in June 2016 and ended in April 2018, while the fifth series was launched in July 2018 and ended in June 2021. "Face the Face" is a song by Pete Townshend. The song is the third track on Townshend's fourth solo album, a concept album titled '' White City: A Novel,'' and was released as a single. The UK and US single edit features Pete Townshend's daughter Emma Townshend singing some parts on the song. The single reached number 26 on the US singles chart and number 3 on ''Billboard''s Mainstream Rock chart, along with achieving top 20 status in Australia, New Zealand and several European territories, but did not share the same success in the UK, only peaking there at number 89. Lana Lang is a fictional supporting character appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. She has appeared in other media adaptations of Superman, typically as a teenager. Witchcraft traditionally means the use of Magic (supernatural), magic or supernatural powers to harm others. A practitioner is a witch. In Middle Ages, medieval and early modern Europe, where the term originated, accused witches were usually women who were believed to have used Black magic, malevolent magic against their own community, and often to have communed with evil beings. Jimmy Olsen is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Olsen is most often portrayed as a young photojournalist working for the ''Daily Planet''.
