Atlas is a superhero appearing an American comic books published by DC Comics. It debuted in '' 1st Issue Special'' #1 (April 1975) and was created by Jack Kirby. Publication history The first Golden Age version of a character named Atlas in DC Comics appeared in ''Action Comics'' #121 (June 1948). "The Coming of Atlas" is a comic book story arc, from DC Comics, by writer James Robinson and artists Renato Guedes and José Wilson Magalhães, featuring Superman. This is Robinson's first story arc on the ''Superman'' title, as ongoing writer after Kurt Busiek's departure. ''All-Star Superman'' is a 2011 American animated superhero film based on the comic book series of the same name by Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely. Released direct-to-video by Warner Bros.
